Huddersfield Town travel south to Bournemouth to the Goldsands Stadium, formerly known as Dean Court, on Saturday. It's a revenge mission for the Terriers as they got well and truly whupped on the opening day of the season, being a goal down after only 25 seconds before going on to lose 4-0. This of course led to the club being publicly ridiculed for "sacking" manager Mark Robins. We have of course, improved greatly since then and despite a 1-4 reversal on Tuesday night against the Wolves, it wasn't a patch on the crappiness of that Bournemouth match.

How much?
Tickets are priced at: £26 adults, £14 over-65s, under-16s and full-time students.

Coaches will be departing from Canalside at 8am, priced at £22.50 per person.

Head to Head

[Image: 1309.png][Image: 359.png]

Town lead the overall head to head by 17 wins to 13, with 18 draws. That's in all competitions. In league matches it's 16 Town wins to Bournemouth's 13, with 16 draws.

As mentioned already, the Cherries won at our place this season with goals from Marc Pugh, Callum Wilson (2) and Yann Kermorgant. That was the last meeting, our first ever match with Bournemouth was back in the 70s in our slump down the divisions. It was the 73/74 season and we drew 1-1 at Leeds Road with a penalty from Alan Gowling.
The most famous series of matches between the two clubs though would be the recent Play Off semi finals when an Anton Robinson inspired Bournemouth took us to extra time and penalties before we snook through after a 4-4 aggregate draw.

So what have modern day Bournemouth got?

They come here on the back of a 2-2 at home to Derby County, a result that saw them lose their grip on the league leadership as Middlesbrough won at Blackpool to go one point ahead.
Managed these days by Eddie Howe, who spent almost his whole playing career at Bournemouth and his managerial career at Bournemouth, with just a short spell away managing Burnley before he got home sick and went back to Bournemouth.

Sorry to sound defeatist but I can't see anything than a easy home win in this one. Pace power and precision is how I would describe Bournemouth going forward this season

The head says we'll be lucky to get owt at all from this one. The two braincells remaining in the soup between my ears say if Leeds can beat them twice, once may have been a fluke, twice isn't a fluke even if Bornmuff pummelled them and couldn't score, then we might be able to get something.

Struggling to see how we're going to get anything from this one. No one seems to be able to stop them and they show no signs of slowing down the charge to the Premier League. I'd be happy with a point.

Hopefully not too bad a result today. I'm actually attending next week's game, so no injuries or suspensions would be nice, too
