So - Jack Wilshere retires, at 30!
I know he's had a few injuries, but, as this article more than hints at, his career has been in terminal decline for a few years.

I always really liked him as a player so I do wonder why any club - out of the top 6 maybe - didn't feel he was worth a punt.
Didn't seem to have a bad attitude to me?

Shame we never tried to tempt him when he was looking for a club.
Then again, perhaps we did and he didn't fancy us.
