I'll be very surprised if he goes anywhere near Hearts and their manager, Cathro, esp in their current uninspiring state - his team has only won one match inside 90 mins+! As for the Dons, I think he'll have a logistics/locality prob with such a move. We'll wait n see but IMO Lenny still has a decent chance of bringing him in to a Hibs team that he certainly seemed to enjoy associating with and travelling to ER and the EMTC would've been a 'breeze' for him as well.

Has his progress faltered at Blackburn? I've not followed Stokes' exploits in England at all.

Yep! I've just checked and altered that club detail to Blackburn - wouldn't mind getting Stokesy AND Commons TBF! Now that would be a 'mini transfer coup' for Lenny if he 'pulled it off' but I acknowledge I'm being a bit greedy!

Picking up info this morn from a Hibs source that wages are still the main stumbling block in order to acquire Commons. His weekly wage at Parkhead is too big for us to cover! Some compromise required but I can see why he'd readily see out the rest of his contract with Celtic on such high earnings.

Looks like the Stokes deal is getting closer.
If he does come back I don't know if we call him a bad penny or yo yo but one thing is for sure.......he will always be on fire.

That's a good point! His Scottish Cup final performance was sublime but there were definite 'issues' in lotsa matches that eventually led up to our play off failure. If this loan move is successful, I'm banking on Lenny being firmer on how and where Stokes plays compared with Stubbs' approach last season.
