RE: Aston Villa vs WBA - Match Thread - Bierzo Baggie - 16-02-2019 0-2 at Villa Park would have been a source of glee back in my day ... I must have been out the country too long! ![]() Come on you Baggies!! ![]() ![]() RE: Aston Villa vs WBA - Match Thread - valpayne - 16-02-2019 There you go what were we worried about went for a ride just checked the score now happy days ? RE: Aston Villa vs WBA - Match Thread - Blue Baggie - 16-02-2019 3 points in the bag, bragging rights secured. A good afternoons work. Our away form is to be admired, use of subs still baffling, but 2 - 0 away to the Seals can only be applauded. RE: Aston Villa vs WBA - Match Thread - bomberbrown1968 - 16-02-2019 COYB Tactics spot on today AND subs as it turned out ![]() ![]() RE: Aston Villa vs WBA - Match Thread - Slick_Footwork - 16-02-2019 Very good first half, with the exception of the 1 cock up that almost gifted Villa the lead. Dominated the half, showed intent going forwards and were unfortunate not to be more up as I felt Murphy should've done a lot better with his chances. Thought the Field for Kanu sub at half time was a poor decision, as it invited Villa onto us when we had them on the ropes. We looked completely toothless from then on in any attacking sense, but saw the game out, so it's difficult to complain. A fantastic result and a 2nd clean sheet on the road in derby games can't be sniffed at. I do feel that Montero for Kanu at half time would've made more sense, as Villa really struggled with us in the first half. We didn't really give them anything to think about second half, but fortunately they lacked any creative spark. Several good performances today with Dawson probably my man of the match. RE: Aston Villa vs WBA - Match Thread - baggietrousers - 16-02-2019 OK, what the feck do I know. Would anyone believe I was trying the reverse psychology thing. ?? Based on their performance last night, there are teams far worse off than we are. I'm going to be glum every week , bet against us and play my Gamball against us and everything will come up smelling of roses. All I have to do now is visit my in laws , Aunts ,Uncles and cousins who all live in Tamworth and support the seals .... Wonder if I'll be welcome ![]() RE: Aston Villa vs WBA - Match Thread - 4evaabaggie - 16-02-2019 SOTV. Enough said RE: Aston Villa vs WBA - Match Thread - Worldclassalbion - 16-02-2019 Yknow I’ve come to a conclusion that if you question anything BD does here that you are deemed a troublemaker or moaner. My observations were made at and just after half time. We won Brilliant it worked but it was all Villa second half despite them not bothering us too much which may have gone a different way on another day. I’m over the moon with the win Drewks he actually got it right. There are you happy now? RE: Aston Villa vs WBA - Match Thread - WBA-Josh - 16-02-2019 Great win today. Didn’t like the Field sub because it made us too defensive too early but it helped our defensive play in the 2nd half so it worked for its purpose. Norwich - 63 Sheffield United - 61 Leeds - 61 WBA - 57 All we can do right now is keep the pressure on the teams above us and wait for an explosion or two. We are also 6 points clear of Boro and Derby which gives us some breathing room. |
