I would like to see Megson and McInnes come in to replace him ASAP To be fair, Phil, he has a strong Rangers connection as well....and he turned them down. I would like to see Megson and McInnes come in to replace him ASAP I agree, I wouldn't want Megson back for a third time. Loved Mowbray's football but I'm always nervous of managers returning after previously successful spells - thinking Giles and Atkinson. RE: Curtains After Tonight? - WBA-Josh - 13-02-2018 If we go down and Pardew leaves then Jens Keller will be my choice to rebuild us. Vastly experienced, coached Schalke in the Champions League and knows how to build a team with a good balance to it. Plus he likes bringing through young players. He is the guy that gave Max Meyer, Sead Kolasinac, Leroy Sane and Leon Goretzka their chance at Schalke. Whether he wants to leave Germany and come to England is another thing. If we go down then the club has to scrub off the Premier League stink and look at building a fresh identity, an identity revolved around playing attractive football, looking to win matches and trying to do things the right way. Just like we had when Ashworth was at the club. There can be no more safety first approaches because that won't get us out of the Championship. Josh have you ever tried emailing the club with your suggestions I think they may well be well received if you do Go for it mate ![]() RE: Curtains After Tonight? - tidy - 14-02-2018 Can we stop 'repying' or 'quoting' to nearly every comment. We know what the thread is about therefore a 'new reply' should be suffient. It's becoming a real pain and tedious. If we go down and Pardew leaves then James Tiberius Kirk will be my choice to rebuild us. Vastly experienced, commanded the Enterprise in Klingon space, and knows how to build a team with a good balance to it. Plus he likes bringing through young players. He is the guy that gave Montgomery Scott, Pavel Chekov, Hikaru Sulu and Nyota Uhura their chance on the bridge. Whether he wants to leave Rigel 7 and come to England is another thing. (Apologies, but it is a Garry thread, so someone had to do it). Uhura is a girl, sulu and Chekhov will never get work permits post brexit, I fear this plan is doomed. I'm surprised pardew has started so badly, he does normally start slow but it takes a couple of years before the wheels come flying of. I don't think it's all over yet though, far from it RE: Curtains After Tonight? - 4evaabaggie - 14-02-2018 Cheers thedaddy, seems to be a bit more faith on the outside than the inside right now ........ we all need an injection of hope before the black cloud becomes a hurricane blowing us out of the top flight. |
