I thought our win there a few weeks back would push us on and push them back....well the opposite has happened.....fook them anyway !!! If they only bring 800 fans, that would be a very poor turnout for them even at 30 quid a ticket!! You are right about our prices though, it's the one mistake that DC has made in my view. I think his view might be different due to the average only being down a few hundred which means he has increased revenue by quite a bit this season anyway, and also he has sold a lot of STs for next season on the back of these prices!! Having said that I hope he makes the tickets more affordable next season no matter what division we are in but if we are in the Championship still then he also has to keep an eye on the revenue and FFP, and tickets are still our biggest income generator. RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Rotherham - Thurnscoe_OWL - 04-03-2016 Yep and using price as an excuse by sounds of it. It's 30 quid ffs. Same as last year when they brought a few thousand RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Rotherham - madsteve - 04-03-2016 (04-03-2016, 00:08)St Charles Owl Wrote:(03-03-2016, 22:56)Maddix Wrote:(03-03-2016, 20:57)Thurnscoe_OWL Wrote: Toy town apparently sold 800ish so far The prices for next season are already decided by the prices of STs. If we are still in SBC, the prices will be pretty much the same as this season. If we go up to the PL, then match day tickets will increase in proportion to the reduction in the number of matches (ie 23/19 = 21%). RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Rotherham - Imre varadi - 04-03-2016 Birmingham winning has got right back in the possibilty of being knocked out of the playoffs spots should we not take at least 4pts from the next 2 games RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Rotherham - St Charles Owl - 04-03-2016 (04-03-2016, 01:44)madsteve Wrote:(04-03-2016, 00:08)St Charles Owl Wrote:(03-03-2016, 22:56)Maddix Wrote:(03-03-2016, 20:57)Thurnscoe_OWL Wrote: Toy town apparently sold 800ish so far The ST prices give a lot more room for maneuver than the club have used this season. In fact they could charge 25 quid for POTD for every game and still not impact ST prices. I am just hoping that we do not see 39 quid on the Kop for games like Bristol City even if it's the opening day or Boxing Day, that price is just too high!! If we get to the Prem then I am hoping that like other Prem teams the mere fact that ticket sales become so much less important due to the TV money that the club do indeed stick to something like 25 quid and fill the ground every week with home fans on all four sides and the away fans in a corner somewhere. RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Rotherham - madsteve - 04-03-2016 If the Club charge £25 times 19 matches (£475) then there will be a lot of pissed off ST holders that have paid more than that for STs and promised at least 30% discount on match day prices. The distribution of ticket prices will get adjusted next season but the overall cost won't go down & will go up if we are promoted. It has to to fit within the discount promised to ST holders. RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Rotherham - Owlkev71 - 04-03-2016 I heard they had sold 2000, find out tomorrow. RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Rotherham - Maddix - 04-03-2016 My point about the prices for POTD is that we are in danger of becoming a 'members only' club. |
