RE: huddersfield v Blackburn match thread - sloppyattheback - 25-04-2015 2 superb Town goals undone by 2 shocking pieces of defending. JR walked around 3 tackles then Gestede's shot deflecting over Smithies to put them one up after our bright start. Then the young lad heads out a cross he should have left and JR is left unmarked to bullet home No 2 from a corner. Buttercups freekick was quality, unstoppable coming down from the cross bar. If only we could get more bods in the box as Scanz worked his gonads off today would like to see him shoot once in a while as he cuts in. Miller had a good game too always a handful with his physical size, if he had a right foot and better in the air he could make a profession out of being a footballer... one day! I think he;s earned a contract offer, same for Foxtrot Oscar whether they're acceptable to both another story. Delighted to see Trolley Dolly come on, play well even track back and win a tackle, then power home a late equaliser to shut up the deluded Lancastrians who also believe they're massive, that JR went there cos of their ambition and nothing to do with £30k a week thats probably closer to 40 since his renewed terms - cant wait for the chicken plucker owners to withdraw their support, switch to IPL and watch them plummet. We did enough to get the 3 points to have kept us above Beeston but Wells off side from what I've read was harsh. Hope we finish with 3 more next week, though with goings on planned by the home fans think the game might also finish at five to 5 despite the early ko. RE: huddersfield v Blackburn match thread - Lord Snooty - 25-04-2015 What's Lolley's goals to games ratio now? Must be good. Now as much as I love Scans, how on earth did he get man of the match ahead of the brilliant Oscar Gobern? RE: huddersfield v Blackburn match thread - sloppyattheback - 26-04-2015 Scanz MOM cos he entertains, takes defenders on gets crosses in all the things we like to see. Grafting hard, playing the ball easy and breaking down play with those bendy telescopic legs dont win you votes sadly. RE: huddersfield v Blackburn match thread - WakeyTerrier - 26-04-2015 I thought we were ok yesterday and that a draw was probably the right result. Shocking defending for the first goal, half hearted challenges allowing them to stroll into the box. Second goal is nothing to do with the young lad, he put the ball out to safety and if we can't mark Jordan Rhodes at a corner then questions have to be asked of his marker. Cracking free kick by Butterfield to bring us back to 1-2 and just backs up the case that he's our best player by a mile. Decent strike by Where's Lolley to equalise. Was Wells offside for his disallowed goal? I couldn't figure out how he could be after seeming to be behind the ball. Ref, crikey he was fatter than me and decided for some reason to blow up half a minute early RE: huddersfield v Blackburn match thread - theo_luddite - 26-04-2015 Much more entertaining game than the dreary 0-0's at their place. First goal was deflected as the young lad tried to put in a block and whoever was on Rhodes for the corner should hang his head in shame. As above great strikes from Butterfield and Lolley. I sit more or less level with the 18 yd line a and given that Scanz pulled the ball back for Wells there was no way on earth he was offside. At the wrong end for the call on Miller RE: huddersfield v Blackburn match thread - Lord Snooty - 26-04-2015 Miller was very marginal but not many in the he stand were kicking off about it so probably just offside. RE: huddersfield v Blackburn match thread - theo_luddite - 26-04-2015 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQKg4VNEPX8&sns=em 4 mins of highlights thanks to Blackburn. You do see more than on Town's pathetic 1 minute effort this week. Smith was (not really) marking Rhodes, for his goal. See page 21 of The Football League paper for full colour evidence. Chris Dunlavy rips into Cellini big time in this weeks edition. I say leave him alone, he's doinga great job. ![]() RE: huddersfield v Blackburn match thread - ARTERRIER - 26-04-2015 Thought we put in another decent performance. Blackburn seemed well organised and hard to breakdown and us that the first time we've come back from 2 down to get something from a game since we came back to this division? A draw was probably a fair result. Two good finishes from Butterfield and Lolley, although question marks over Eastwood for Butterfields goal. All in all a pleasing performance and their has been a definite marked improvement in our performances in the last month or so, lets hope we can carry that on into next season and our transfer activity allows a good season. RE: huddersfield v Blackburn match thread - theo_luddite - 26-04-2015 Cellini? Cellino? Celine Dion? 'Kin phone again. ![]() RE: huddersfield v Blackburn match thread - MNTerrier - 26-04-2015 think the offside decisions were bad check out the penalty decision in this game right at the end, it was the 90th minute and pretty much denied the team a win , i was at this game last night too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mdFjoJZdoA&feature=youtu.be |
