No, his first serious injury was a cruciate with us that kept him out through 2013; it was after he recovered that we sent him on loan to Derby, and then he did the cruciate again. Can't help but feel he'd have had this trouble no matter what choices he made, which is a shame, because when he signed his first senior contract he was touted as a real future star.

Just read this, I'm not sure if this is the time for sacking your manager ?
I thought Lee had done a fair job at Bristol with little funds.
He will soon get another managers job for sure.

Watched yesterday`s Burnley/ Sheffield match. The commentator was trying to elicit sympathy for those poor teams. Only managed to name 7 and 8 subs respectivly due to injury crisis. I thought "Why not put a couple of club youngsters on the bench for the experience, after all you are not going to use them".

Didn't see it myself, but it sounds like yet another example of the media blowing everything out of proportion when it comes to football. The whole attitude they have, IMO, is ridiculous, and the trouble is that it has led to the players, coaches, etc believing it all! Everything is so important, and everyone is now so self important - "read here for the manager's pre match press conference", etc etc.
Who gives a t*ss?!!
"Injuries"!! A reserve CH has stubbed his toe at home, and it's an "injury crisis". A midfielder is tackled hard and goes down like he's been shot, and the press /commentators are treating it as if his leg's come off. Oh no, he's back up now, what a hero!
Everything is so exaggerated, it's unbelievable.
Hah! I feel better now.

Apparently Tony Pulis linked with the vacant job. Fortunately for the Robins and especially their fans and football in general 'work aard Pulis' has said that he is not yet ready to return to management.

Arsenal have just announced they are to make 55 people (mostly in the commercial & administration sectors) redundant, but, the BBC say:
"However, many will ask whether it is right that so many lower-paid staff jobs are being lost at an estimated annual saving of around £2m when Arsenal are paying Mesut Ozil £350,000 per week, and are reported to have offered Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang a new £250,000-a-week contract."
Good question.
I find that utterly ridiculous.

Disgraceful!
There should be some kind of rule where if you're having to make financial cuts to backroom staff, you should have a wages cap for players. No idea how this would work, just think it stinks.

yeah a few thoughts on this
thats a combined total of £600.000
Ozil and Aubameyang should hang their heads in shame
Ozil especially
and the club should take a good look at itself letting 55 people go don`t sound a lot
but those people have mortgages and families to provide for
more to to the point the mentioned players are selfish and dont give a shite about their clubs staff
no wonder we call it the greed league
