From looking at previous stats, they appear to only count aerial challenges won when both players try to head it and one clearly wins it. No real surprises there, I would be our midfield don't win that many, we must have the shortest midfield in our history at the moment and when Hutch isn't playing!!! ![]() RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Brentford - Maddix - 16-02-2016 (16-02-2016, 02:01)peiowl Wrote: * Contrary to what Maddix bangs on about 90 percent of what I say in my posts--Nuhiu 50s pin ups and Canadiana etc -- has ALWAYS been meant as leg pulling, harmless banter. Well don't fckg moan when you get one. RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Brentford - consilio - 16-02-2016 Kiss and make up time. RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Brentford - St Charles Owl - 16-02-2016 So what result do we want tonight between Hull and Brighton?? I still think Hull are probably the strongest team so there is an argument that they could run away with it and beat everyone bar us of course and we can then still catch Brighton, but a Brighton win would keep the top 2 within reach???? Maybe a draw would be best, sees both teams dropping points?? RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Brentford - Statesideowl - 16-02-2016 The current no score draw suits me fine.. Then consider yourself fine suited as that is the final score!! Keep both of them down and still within reach. Boro still have a game in hand, which looking at the table must be against Blackburn who won 3-0 tonight. All we can do for now is focus on Preston, and keep taking it one game at a time to build the gap between us and 7th place. The teams above us need to drop points now for us to catch them but tonight saw 2 of them both drop 2 points, so with the number of times the top teams have to play each other we hopefully will see more of that. RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Brentford - madsteve - 16-02-2016 A draw between two challengers always means a point is lost. Yes but if we win while they draw against each other it means we gain 2 points on both, I suppose that was my point!! Hull will feel as though they lost 2 points, Brighton I would assume will be happy with the draw. And to add a bit of sweetner to the mix, the blunts once again lost, this time to the mighty Bury!!!! Bury also had 4 ex-Owls in their starting line-up and one on the bench just to add some spice as well!! RE: Match Thread - SWFC v Brentford - Statesideowl - 17-02-2016 Exactly. As long as we capitalise.
