I actually think its worse we are getting on the playing side of things Thumb down . We have no direction or style of play at the minute maybe it's down to having no quality midfielders but a lot of it is down to SG. He had built a good morale and got the players fighting for each other which papered over a lot of the bad stuff but that has been on the wane the last while. He bought May surely knowing his strengths but doesn't know how to get them out. What did he think May was going to add to the team ?? Goals obviously, but how was SG planning on getting them from him?? Surely not with our current midfield and if he was thinking that then he is clueless Doh . He doesn't know what he is at playing style wise or in recruiting players. Nuhiu as Imre suggested on the wing might is what could happen, SG likes Nuhiu because he is a good defensive player, we set out not to lose. We don't set out to win games !!! Nuhiu could be the new Heskey or Walters at Stoke, a striker with a poor scoring record playing on the wing due to there defensive work rate.

I like all are hoping for a win but think a 0-0 0r 1-1 is the best we can get.

Found this on owlstalk:

63 years ago today

Derek Dooley bagged 5 second half goals to sink Notts County 6-0 in front of 46,570 fans.

Wednesday won the old second division that year with 100 goals scored. All this recent talk of a 20 goals a season striker, Dooley had notched 27 before December was out including 5's, 4's, hat tricks, braces and singles.

Those 27 were scored in just 15 games Thumb up Thumb up Thumb up The rate we are going we will be lucky to get 27 by the end of the season Laugh Laugh

I'll post this in here so you can all see it. This is PEI at The Valley in 1939 Big Grin

Actually it's an air-raid spotter at a Charlton vs Arsenal game. Massive crowd for a local derby, eh! I think that's the Jimmy Seed stand at the far end.
