THE LAST MATCH

So we got a point at the Valley after leading 1-0 at half-time and certainly having the chances to win it!!  Seems this result, and more importantly the tactics and performance, sees at least the posters on here a bit split as to both the quality of the team and the in particular the quality of the manger!!  But then whats new with us being split in our opinions on here!!! Long may the debate reign!!!


THE MATCH - KO SAT 15:00 BST

So now we have a "second Saturday" game against probably the most in form team in the division, seriously how the effing hell are they performing so well, both at the back end of last season and the beginning of this one?? For sure they are being bank rolled by a wealthy owner and will fall foul of the FFP rules but shit after having come up from the pub league the season before last, they have pretty much done what we had hoped to do, move upwards and onwards!!!

Well working theirs out was pretty easy!!!!  In those 6 wins they have scored 19 goals and conceded only 4!!!  Obviously this one has an easy home win written all over it!!

DOWN THE YEARS

Not much "Down the Years" with us against The Cherries!!!  We played them for the first time in the league in 2003/2004, and prior to that we had only played them in various cup competitions.  Our overall record is very apt for the current shower of mediocre shite we seem to be - P18, W6, D6, L6!!! Having said that our league record against them may be more accurate of our true shittiness - P10, W2, D3, L5, although we have won those two games in the last two seasons so there is some hope!!

For the video of past games I am going ultra positive and putting up one of our better wins last season!!



I don't need to comment on this one as it truly is completely irrelevant to where the two teams currently stand!!   But by posting it I hope it brings us a wee bit of sodding luck!!

We sit in 13th currently, so still at the top of the bottom half!! As we are playing one of the 7 teams whose names begin with a B, the other games of interest all involve other "B" teams!!

We've certainly got to be at it for this one, we keep mentioning the need to make our home a horrible place for the opposition to come to and we are a long way from that.
I am hoping for us to play on the counter in this game as I think going toe to toe right now would see us defeated and that's not good with the millers coming up at the weekend

Bournemouth are good & will be a tough test. The way to score against them is by having a player hanging on the shoulder of the last defender & sliding a through ball for him to run on to so May needs to start.

Just watch the two goals Brighton scored against them on Saturday.

We have to match them up in CM with three players or else it will be a repeat of last season's match where they made us look terrible.

I would go 4231 with Mags playing just off May, Helan & Drenthe on the wings, Semedo & Lee. Dielna will probably be LB - Mattock is having a scan today so he will be out 2-3 months probably, knowing our luck with injuries

The Hutch has had is operation and will be back in a 2 months, or 3 in our case

Bournemouth played 442 on stadi, wonder if they will stick with that against us?

I don't know what to expect for this one, we are shite again. Bournemouth can score I know that much so unless we come up with a different game plan, running in circles will get us nowhere, also, sloppy passing loses games.
