RE: Town's best ever signing - jjamez - 12-05-2016 Could we add peter clarke to the list? Yeah had some major faults but would bleed for the shirt if that was what was required. I started watching town during the administration year and under shawaddyworth. So i had the likes of efe, brandon, beckett to 'idolise' during childhood...so any choices i make will be the relatively newer sugnings ie rhodes pilks clarke etc RE: Town's best ever signing - HighlandTerrier58 - 12-05-2016 Peter Clarke's penalty at Wembley in the 'Great Shoot Out' turned the tide and showed his very real determination and commitment to the cause. A good choice jjamez RE: Town's best ever signing - jjamez - 12-05-2016 Also I'd lean towards pelts mk1 in fact for the amount of stick lee clark gets for his signings, yes there were some really poor choices, I'm look at you anton...he did make some real pearlers that have gone on to bigger and better things than what we've achieved and others that were instrumental to our team for a long while. RE: Town's best ever signing - EastLondonTerrier - 12-05-2016 Anthony Pilkington certainly one of them JJamez. For me he's a premier league player rotting in the championship, He's scored against the very best in the prem. One of my favourite town players. Just below Danny Schofield, a great example of how Town can misuse and almost ruin an outstanding player played in the wrong position. RE: Town's best ever signing - theo_luddite - 13-05-2016 There's a bloke goes down the chip shop - swears he's Elvis. ![]() http://www.examiner.co.uk/sport/football/news/frank-worthington-well-liked-fans-11294342 Showing my age but he's a Halifax lad like me. His brother's weren't too shabby at kicking the old leather bag of wind around either Looking for video evidence of THAT victory http://www.examiner.co.uk/sport/football/news/huddersfield-town-nostalgia-west-hams-4958937 Here you go - scroll through to 32:00 mins. There's more at around 31:20, but you might want to fast forward for about 10 seconds in between. and some folk were moaning about the state of the pitch at the McGalphSmiths a couple of weeks back ![]() |
