Don't know if he falls into this category, but Rob Page made an impact for a very short period, and really could have been. Think we were planning on offering him a contract, then Ternant stuck his two penneth in. If memory serves me well.

Great shout with Rob Page. Marcus Stewart is my favourite ever player. Sean Morrison on loan was a massive player for us & we wouldn't have got our of League 1 without him. Nico Vaesen was a shrewd bit of business too.

In my lifetime, definitely Jordan Rhodes. Sean Morrison close 2nd. I'd also shove in Efe Sodje the legend himself as a contender. Despite his red cards, was a big reason why we got promoted from league two. Was athletic, good defender and scored goals and even after he left us played for another 8 years.

Has to be Rhodes....for his goals as well as the money. We would never got out of League 1 if it wasn't for him.
Other good signings in my time following Town have to be Duncan Shearer, Iwan Roberts and even Rocket Ronnie Jepson.
