Forget about his temperment, ego and whatever else people hate him for. The fact of the matter is that the last thing we need right now is another ageing player, wouldn't touch anyone else over 30 with a bargepole this summer unless they are borderline world class - something Barton isn't.

Thing is a similar article was run in July saying he should sign for Villa. I am beginning to think someone at the Evening Mail musty be a mate of Barton's trying to find him a club.

Latest news is that fans of Wet Sham were so against signing him that they changed the minds of the person(s) planning to sign him.
I guess many of us have now been crossed off Joey's Xmas card list.
