Going to steal MS thunder  Big Grin

Stuart Attwell has officiated 8 of our games (1 win, 6 draws, 1 loss), 2 of which have been this season

26/12/09 Sheffield Wednesday  2  -  2  Newcastle United
15/12/12 Barnsley FC  0  -  1  Sheffield Wednesday
19/02/13 Birmingham City  0  -  0  Sheffield Wednesday
24/08/13 Sheffield Wednesday  2  -  2  Millwall FC
18/01/14 Burnley FC  1  -  1  Sheffield Wednesday
25/10/14 Sheffield Wednesday  0  -  0  Norwich City
13/12/14 Sheffield Wednesday  0  -  1  Wolverhampton Wanderers

In our games he's given 19 yellows and 0 reds.

He is the infamous ref who awarded Reading a "ghost goal" against Watford at Vicarage Road Doh

Recently seems to be League 1/2 ref, his last championship game was december 28th's Cardiff 2-4 Watford, however, the game before he presided over the pigs 2-1 boxing day defeat away at Port Vale Laugh UNLUCKY PIEBLADE Thumb up

his last 25 games has seen 63 yellows and 3 reds so certainly like to give yellows but seems scared of that red card (coincidently the last red he gave was THAT boxing day game for Uniteds Chris Basham Laugh)

sorry MS Big Grin

One important thing to add about Stuart Atwell is that he allows players to physically challenge the keeper (I hope SG tells the players this). In those matches, we were twice the beneficiaries of goals resulting from strong challenges on the keeper. Varney knocked the keeper over against Newcastle & JOC scored and Madine knocked the keeper over at Barnsley & COG scored.

If SG is doing his job right both our strikers & keeper will know what to expect. Heard last week that Mourinho does a six page report for his players on the referee. Doubt SG does.

AAHHH

2-1 McGugan

RE: Match Thread - Ipswich Town - Statesideowl - 09-02-2015

I thought it was about 5 ( loanees) Thurny!

Baker injured perhaps? or simply didn't fit into the 4-4-2 golden boy Maguire must play shape that SG insists upon.

We were not at the limit for loan players, we have played more than that in previous seasons!!

1-0 McGugan and ADDDH.

2-1 May  (you need to ask people whether they're putting wednesday win/lose, Maedix used to put Wednesday first on his match threads Whistle)

Typical of the younger generation, no natural morals, no sense of what is right or wrong!!! It seems that the "educated" younger citizens in our society have to be told about rules that are morally a given anyway!!! The match threads have always been Wednesday score first and since before you were a twinkle in your mother's eye, predicting a defeat has not been allowed (unless otherwise stated in the match thread)!! Thankfully I can work out what scoreline people are predicting without resorting to petty and vindictive "snitching" on others!!! Whistle

The other key phrase there is "Maddix used to", but he no longer does, so its my rules until I tell you otherwise!!! Of course if and when Maddix wants to do a match thread, then it will be his rules until he tells you otherwise. But the moral, given rules will still apply, see if you can remember those in between your university classes!! Doh

We once had one more than we should have in the match-day squad. I think we got away with a fine. Whistle

This is the rule:

52.2.1 A maximum of 5 loan Players (Standard, International, Emergency or Youth) can be named in the Players listed on a team sheet for any individual match played under the auspices of The League.  This figure shall include any additional loan of a goalkeeper approved by the Executive under the provisions of Regulation 54.

Smartass

Not snitching on anyone, just pointing out that Maddix did the match threads correctly Whistle
