The moving of games to Sky ruined the feeling of the whole public being part of it.
Where are our hero's - Kane is the only player who reaches the countries expectations of a class player.
I watched about 5 minutes of last nights game and was not interested in Sterlings goals, mainly because I'm sick of reading about his racist remarks in the media. Lets face it! our hero's are now all foreigners and we see them every week, would England beat any of the top 6 PL teams - I very much doubt it.
We no longer hold the England team in high esteem.

We have one set of heroes as far as England are concerned and thats the 66 team. Since then we have threatened a few times to actually do something good but always fallen before we should have done. For the first time in many years, this current England crop seem to be a bunch of good young players who don’t have the usual over inflated egos we have seen for the past 20 years. They seem honored to play for England and the focus on youth and the pace that has brought to the team has certainly made me more interested in them.

This lot might become heroes, but they will have to win something first, and for the first time in ages they might just be able to do that if they continue to progress.

Yeah, I disagree about the players having no connection with the public. I'll root for a Harry Maguire who started out in the lower leagues over a John Terry any day of the week. This side is a lot more likable than the so-called Golden Generation, but as I said yesterday, early-stage qualifiers are always just a kickabout.

I think things might get more interesting with the Nations Cup finals in June, when there's genuinely something at stake.

Tony Pulis is now on 5 straight defeats and Boro have dropped down to 8th.

Could the end for Pulisbrough be on the horizon?

It was always a strange choice, putting him in charge of a promotion-chasing club with a decent budget. His only real promotion successes were Gillingham in the 90s and Stoke in 08; he's a firefighter, not a swashbuckler. I listened to their game on the radio at the weekend, and there was such a sense of deja vu hearing the commentators ask, at 2-0 down, why Boro were still sitting back and relinquishing possession: "have they given up?"

It's annoying enough when it happens in mid-table or a relegation battle, but when you're going for promotion it must be downright embarrassing.

Blimey Ska'd, what's so bad in your world that you have to listen to a MIDDLESBROUGH game on the radio??  Sick

Tony says he's staying he is not going to walk away - unless he gets another fat severance pay cheque.
Apparently he has an equally large bonus if he gets promoted - it's a win win fior him.  Doh

The charity game was a great day out, Lee Hughes looked sharp.
Some nice touches from Ex players with kids teams at half time, great afternoon.
Long time since I got to Stourbridge FC and not much has changed, except the pub opposite is now a Vets 4 Pets Big Grin

The unfit "right and proper" persons turned down by JP have got the dingles on the verge of a top seven finish and they are also currently 45 minutes away from an FA cup final and a Europa league place.
Whilst our fit and proper owner has taken us down a division, watching poor directionless football, from profitable to loss making and facing years of wilderness football .......

Life in the black country is gonna get unbearable .......
