Fred there's always going to be stories getting banded about players coming and going but according to tonight sports desk on STV Stubbs was clear as day stating there has been no contact from the two clubs along the M8.
His closing statement was Scott Allan is under contract it's as easy as that.

How many managers hVe said a player is under contract??it means not much mate if the cash is right hibs will sell you know that,it's all paper talk just now the usual from the rags trying to unsettle players

I no your right Fred it goes for nothing but I just feel that Stubbs will fight to keep him he's got the majority of the hibs team on a two year contract I think he will try and get him to sign another years contract. He seems to be a major player HFC don't want to lose Stubbs said that Liam Fontaine was another player he was delighted to have signed up they are the backbone of the team something Stubbs won't give up on easily.
I also think Leanne Dempster will play a major part in this

1. Under no circumstances should we sell Scott Allan to a rival. As Alan Stubbs rightly says, he's under contract.
2. As for Celtic, Allan will just be a squad player with a few cameo appearances now and again as he's not yet a strong enough player. Fair enough, he's extremely skilful but he'll need to beef up a bit and do some of the donkey work that he can avoid at Hibs. He can't head the ball or tackle and he plays far too many hopeful balls into the channels and his head goes down far too easily when things aren't working out. There - that'll put them off!
Hibs will continue his improvement without undue pressure and nurture his promising career. He's better being a big fish in a little pond, than a little fish in a big pond. The tittle-tattle in the weegie press, no doubt approved of by the uglies, cannot be allowed to do damage to the prospects of a star in the making.
PS - great news about Liam Fontaine.

I think we all agree Scott Allan will move from HFC one day. But if we can hold onto him for two years and we get back to the spl this year then is the time to sell him. As people have said celtics a no brainer he would be a squad player as Ritchie says rangers can't afford him and why go to a team we battered off the park 4 times last season a backward move if there's ever been one. Let's keep the current squad together adding maybe two players to strengthen the squad and get off to a flyer in the championship.

For anyone interested theres a video posted around 1 hour ago on Sky Sports with Scott Allan and he says he's fully committed to HFC.
There will still be people out there saying so what a video means nothing.
All I would say if he's planning on going why make yourself out to be a liar ..... I think he's at HFC for at least another season
