You might notice that loads of posts have gone missing this morning. By my reckoning is everything since Friday afternoon.
I've messaged Stairs and he's messaged Mark and this is the reply.
Sadly you are right.
Mark was forced last night to perform a recovery and as a result data has been lost and can’t be recovered.
Please spread the word and ask people to re enter posts accordingly.
I am very sorry. Nothing can be done to get material back and I know some very high quality contributions will have vanished.

Just read that an idea has been put forward that would/could affect future promotion prospects.
The idea suggested is to increase the end of season playoffs to six teams.
How would it work I hear you say.
Well, the team finishing fifth would play an eliminator tie against the team finishing eighth, sixth would play seventh. The two winners would enter the normal playoffs for a chance at promotion via Wembley.
To me, it’s a stupid suggestion. You could be third all season miss out on automatic by a point or even on goal difference, a team twenty or more points below you have a little run and scrape into eighth, a whole third of the way down the league, have a bit of luck and make it to Wembley and then the premier league. Teams finishing first, second and third struggle in the premier league upon promotion what chance someone scraping eighth place.
I’m not a big fan of the playoffs although we have benefited from them in the past. Really the best three teams, top 3, have earned the right over 46 games and should go up. But I guess the playoffs generate more money …. Why not do away with the league and go straight to a 24 team playoff style tournament. Not necessary the best team winning but the team with the best draw and easiest route. Let’s just draw straws.
Stop messing with the people’s game. They’ve tampered with the premier league making it easier for the rich clubs to succeed but want to make the EFL easier for smaller clubs to win a lottery. Heaven forbid.

Former Barrow caretaker manager Rob Kelly has returned to the club to become assistant head coach to Andy Whing.
Kelly, 60, will share the role with Craig Pead, who has been Whing's long-time assistant.
He had two spells as caretaker of the Cumbria club in the 2020-21 season, after the departures of David Dunn and then Michael Jolley.
But Kelly, who has been Leicester City manager and held coaching positions at various clubs, returns to help a Barrow side who are 19th in League Two after seven matches with just six points.
"I'm absolutely delighted to be able to bring in someone of Rob's experience," Whing told the club's website.
"We have a very young staff group, so to have someone like Rob coming in will be great for everyone."
Kelly first moved to the SO Legal Stadium to work under Dunn, just after Barrow had returned to the EFL.
He had a caretaker spell in between Dunn and Jolley and then when the latter left after a short period in charge, Kelly was caretaker for over two months, eventually securing the Bluebirds' League Two survival with two matches to go.
He did not want the job on a permanent basis and subsequently left to become assistant manager at League One Wigan Athletic.

Deepdale 12.30pm
The unrefined joy of a dinner time kick off, early start from the mass following that will arrive from Teesside to watch the laegue leaders with a 100% record take on a North End side with a 100% home record.
Personally dislike 12.30 boot offs although never was overly fussed about 11 am kick offs we used to have when football was good
MANAGER
Robert Owen Edwards (born 25 December 1982) is a professional football manager and former player who is the current head coach of EFL Championship club Middlesbrough. Born in England to Welsh parents, he represented Wales internationally.[5]
Edwards began his career with Aston Villa, making his senior debut in the Premier League. He then moved to Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2004, where he spent four seasons at Championship level. He helped both Blackpool and Norwich to promotions to the Premier League and featured for Barnsley in the Championship before retiring due to injury in 2013. He played international football for Wales, making his debut in 2004 and winning 15 caps in total. His father also played for Wales, at U18 level.[6] He completed his coaching badges with the Football Association of Wales and moved into management after retiring as a player.[7]
Edwards managed Wolves' academy and had an interim spell at the first team, before leading AFC Telford United and the England under-16 team. He guided Forest Green Rovers to promotion as League Two champions in the 2021–22 season. Watford appointed Edwards as manager in May 2022 but he was dismissed just four months later in September.[8] He joined Luton Town later that year, leading the club to promotion to the Premier League via the playoffs.[9] In January 2025 he left Luton Town by mutual agreement. On 24 June 2025 Edwards was appointed head coach of Middlesbrough.
Seems a decent bloke had to cope with some issues at Luton mainly health related to Tom Lockyer, although do note he is tainted with 59 appearences for Blackpool, which does rid him of a few Brownie points, speaking of Brownie he's signed our ex skipper Alan Browne on loan

Bradford City v Huddersfield Town
Sky Bet League One
Saturday September 13th - 12:30 ko
at the University of Bradford Stadium
![[Image: pawdZ0y.jpeg]](https://i.imgur.com/pawdZ0y.jpeg)
Huddersfield Town travel to Manningham to the Pulse Stadium on Saturday lunchtime for a much anticipated West Yorkshire derby, the first in the league for 19 years.
I think it's safe to say that it will be a different starting XI from the last one. Our manager, Lee Grant is not one who likes the status quo and does like to keep his squad fresh by rotating. Lynden Gooch, Josh Feeney and Cameron Ashia weren't even on the bench against Peterborough United on Saturday, so I expect all three of them to be back in for this one. Unless of course, we've started another bunch of injuries.
Hopefully, our players will have been made aware of how much this game means to both sets of fans. Theirs more than ours, having been languishing in the dark recesses of the basement of the Football League, while we've been lording it up in the Premier League. We need to be on it right from the start and definitely not half arsed like we were at Blackpool and Barnsley. This group of players haven't felt the wrath of a disgruntled set of Town fans. They got off lightly at the end of the Barnsley match. Defeat in this one is unthinkable and mustn't happen.
COME ON TOWN!!
Tickets: SOLD OUT!
A brief history of Bradford City: formed in 1903 and immediately elected into the Football League. They won the Second Division in 1907/08 and then won the FA Cup in 1911, their only major title.
The Final was played against Newcastle United at Crystal Palace (not Selhurst Park) and was a goal less draw, so went to a replay at Old Trafford four days later. City wo it 1-0 with a goal from their captain, Jimmy Spiers. It was the first presentation of the new trophy, which had actually been made in Bradford that year. It's the classic trophy that we see today, but not the original. That was retired in 1992 and replaced with a replica.
Since then, they've won sod all. Apart from the 3rd Division North twice (1928/29 and 1984/85), the 1996 3rd tier Play Offs (beating Swindon Town 2-0) and the 2013 4th tier Play Offs (beating Northampton Town 3-0).
Other than that, they've won promotion four times from the fourth tier and once from the second tier to the Prima Donna League. That was in 1999 and unbelievably they managed to avoid relegation. But not to worry, just like we avoided relegation from the Prima Donna League, they made sure they went down in the following campaign.
Last season, after six seasons in League Two, they won promotion to League One and so here we are today.
Head to Head
![[Image: C29zHco.png]](https://i.imgur.com/C29zHco.png) ![[Image: MHAqMYF.png]](https://i.imgur.com/MHAqMYF.png)
Town lead the head to head with 21 wins to City's 13, with 16 draws.
Since our last league meeting in 2006/07, we've had two League Cup meetings and one in the EFL Trophy. In 2008, Jon Worthington, Gary Roberts (2) and Robbie Williams (not that one) goals gave us an easy 4-0 Carling Cup win at home. In 2011, we drew 2-2 then lost on pens at home in the Johnstone Paints Trophy. Then we beat them again in the Capitol One Cup in 2013 when two James Vaughan goals gave us a 2-1 win at home. Nahki Wells scored a late consolation for the Bantams, a few months before he signed for us.
So this is our first visit to Valley Parade since a 1-0 win there in October 2006. Mark Hudson scored the goal. No, not the ex club captain and caretaker manager, the other one that we signed from Chesterfield. We beat them again later in the season. Two-nil as they were on their way to relegation. Paul Hayes, on loan from Barnsley and future Head Coach, Danny Schofield with the goals.
You have to go back to March 2005 to the last time the Bants beat us. It was 2-0 at theirs with Andy Cooke (not the one who plays for them now) and Dean Windass scoring. So that's seven games unbeaten, if you call the penalty shoot out loss a draw.
Back in time, our first meetings were in the First Division. We had two seasons together in the 1920s and they were the only two times we've been in the top flight at the same time. Local boy Fred Lunn, only scored twice for the Town, but they were both against Bradford City. The first was at Leeds Road in 1920/21 when he scored the goal in a 1-0 win on the 11th of September. The second was a week later at Valley Parade, with Ernie Islip also on target as Town won again, 2-0 this time. Lunn only played six times for Town before being transferred to the Wednesday. He never made a first team appearance the Owls but went from there to Bristol Rovers where he had one good season, scoring ten goals before his career faded away.
Despite getting relegated at the end of the next season, City did the double over Town, which we won't mention. The next time that the two clubs clapped eyes on each other was the 5th round of the 1930 FA Cup. Town got to the Final that year and beat City 2-1 at home on the way there. England international Bob Kelly and Scottish footballing legend Alex Jackson scored ours in front of 45,659 spectators.
And that was the last we saw of the Chickens for 45 years, apart from every year when we played them in the West Riding Cup of course. We had slumped down to their level, the 4th Division and drew both games in the 1975/76 season.
Over the next few decades, a real rivalry came about with some proper ding dong games. One of them, an absolute classic on New Year's Day 1983, which we won 6-3.
It didn't start well, with City scoring very early on, Cec Podd in the sixth minute getting it. Now Cec was from St Kitts and Nevis, but ended up becoming City's all time appearance holder. In that time from 1970 to 1984 he played 565 times for them and his goal on this day against us was one of only three he ever scored in his entire career.
Not to worry, Town stormed back and Brian Stanton finished the day scoring four of our six goals. His first three were the quickest hat trick ever scored by a Town player, coming in the space of 6 minutes, beating the previous record of George Brown, who took a ridiculously long time of 8 minutes to score his.
Town's other goals came from a Malcolm Brown penalty (given away by a reckless tackle from City's teenage centre back Peter Jackson) and one from Phil Wilson, two minutes from time. Ex Town striker Bobby Campbell got one of the Bantams' others. Trevor Cherry was also in their line up, he was at the time, their player/manager.
A few years later in 1986/87, another player scored four goals for the Terriers against Billy Bantam's Circus. That was Duncan Shearer in a 5-2 victory at Leeds Road and this was just five days after the controversial sacking of Mick Buxton.
There was another high scoring match in the promotion season of 1994/95. That was a 4-3 win at Valley Parade with Andy Booth (2), Ronnie Jepson and Paul Reid on the score sheet. And another one a couple of years later at the McAlpine when we fought back from 3-0 down to force a draw. Paul Dalton, Ian Lawson and Gary Crosby on target that Friday night.
Here's hoping for lots of goals in this latest Sky Sports fixture on a Saturday lunchtime. Obviously in the Bradford net.
Recent form - last 6 matches:
Town 3-2 PishPosh
Town 6-2 Newcastle u21s (EFL Trophy)
Barnsley 3-1 Town
Sunderland 1-1 Town (EFL Cup, won on pens)
Town 1-0 Stevenage
Town 2-0 Donny
Donny 3-1 City
City 2-1 Grimsby (EFL Trophy)
City 3-2 Wimbledon
Stoke 0-3 City (EFL Cup)
PishPosh 1-1 City
Stockport 1-2 City
Town are 3rd in the League One table with 15 points. City are 5th with 14.

2 points for correct result
4 points for correct score
2 points for each correct scorer
Correct joker doubles your score (correct score on a joker would give you 8 points)
Wrong joker result gives you minus 2
Correct Badger gives you 2 points
The prize for winning the league is one rep point.
Cup games: In the event of a draw, it's half the points if you've predicted a draw when it gets to 90 mins and the full points if it's still a draw after extra time. Half the points will be awarded for correctly predicting the winner of the match if it goes to penalties. However, if you do predict a draw and it's a match that won't be going to a replay, you can get a possible extra point by stating which of the two teams you think will eventually win.
Random score generator: I will be using the random score generator again for those who miss predicting, so we shouldn't get some people too far behind that after missing a couple of weeks they lose all interest, because I know it's not easy getting on here every week.
To be fair to everybody, this is going to be like, say if three people in one week miss their predictions, the first one in the table will be given all 0-0, the second one down the line will get 1-0 and the third will get 0-1 and so on, like if there's four missing the 4th will get 1-1, then 5th 2-1, 6th 1-2. and if there are so many missing, might as well pack in.
And if you miss two weeks on the trot, I'll stop until you come back on again. Not doing it for half a season like I did t'other year.
At the end of the season, the winner of group 2 and the bottom of group 1 will swap places in what is commonly known as "promotion" and "relegation". It's something that most football fans will be familiar with, unless you're a fan of Liverpool or Arsenal or one of those other fashionable clubs.
The second placed player in group 2 will then have a play off with the player who finishes second from the bottom in group 1 to decide whether they will be going up, down or staying where they are.
We're going to have two seasons in one though, just to try and make it a bit more interesting and not so long drawn out. The first season will end on the Boxing Day fixtures, with the play offs being on the dates of the Twixtmas fixtures and the NYD fixtures.
The second season will start the following week, which is usually the FA Cup 3rd round, finishing on the last game of the League One season. Then another period of relegation/promotion play off games, taking in such fixtures as the EFL play offs, FA Cup Final, UEFA finals and such like.
Each group will have it's own set of fixtures. Both groups will have the Town games, with scorers to predict as before. Then it will be a split of League One fixtures and bonus matches, hopefully around ten, eleven or twelve games per Matchday.
The random badger is restricted to three goal scorers in any of the fixtures in your group.
Here's how that will appear at the end of the fixture list. All you have to do is fill in the blanks.......
*** scores for ***
*** scores for ***
*** scores for ***
Any of those will score two points if correct. No minus points for getting it wrong.
Postponed matches will only count if the match is re-played before the next Matchday is under way. Abandoned matches will be awarded half the points for the score at the time of abandonment, so 1 point if you have the correct result, 2 points if you have the correct score.
Substitute or scorer in one of the Town games:- These will be only be allowed if you change them before the match involved has kicked off.
