Fleetwood Town have signed St Johnstone defender Shaun Rooney on a two-year deal.
The 25-year-old helped Saints retain their Premiership status, with goals in both legs of their 6-2 play-off final win over Inverness.
He is new Fleetwood boss Scott Brown's first signing as a manager.
"I've played against him many times and know he's a real winner who has determination and will put his body on the line," Brown told the club website.

Newport County have agreed a deal to sign midfielder Sam Bowen from Cardiff City for an undisclosed fee.
Bowen, 21, will be the League Two club's first summer signing.
The Wales under-21 international follows in the footsteps of his father Jason, who played for both Cardiff and Newport as well as Swansea.
Bowen will be reunited with James Rowberry, who coached him at Cardiff before becoming Newport boss in October 2021.
"I worked with him for 10 years during our time at Cardiff which makes me fully aware of his capabilities and what he can bring to the football club," Rowberry said.
"His style of play suits us well and I have no doubt that he can be a continuation of our processes as we move forward, going into the forthcoming season."
The deal for Bowen will be officially confirmed on 10 June, but Rowberry said: "I am excited for the club, Sam and Sam's family on getting this deal over the line.
"I cannot wait to start work on the training pitch in preparation for next season."
Bowen, who spent time on loan with Barry Town in the Cymru Premier, made five appearances for Championship club Cardiff during the 2021-22 campaign.
But his progress last season was hampered by a foot injury.
Jason Bowen made 172 appearances for Newport, scoring 55 goals between 2004 and 2008 having spent five years with Cardiff City.

Championship club Queens Park Rangers' stadium name will revert to Loftus Road for the 2022-23 season.
In 2019, the club gifted the naming rights of the ground to a charity, with fans voting for the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.
Kiyan Prince was a member of QPR's youth academy, who was stabbed to death in May 2006 when he was 15-years-old.
QPR chief executive Lee Hoos said the club would "continue to support" the foundation in the future.
The foundation was set up by Kiyan's father Mark Prince to educate young people about the consequences of knife crime.
"Winning the votes for the naming rights of Loftus Road Stadium has brought many benefits to not only the KPF charity but people in and around west London," he said.
"As an organisation, we have been able to collaborate with QPR to deliver motivational talks at schools in the area, and the naming rights brought much more attention to the work we are doing."
In 2021, Kiyan was posthumously added to the Fifa gaming platform. He was listed as a QPR squad member for the 2021-22 season to mark the 15th anniversary of his death.
Hoos added: "It was always felt that a natural ceiling would be reached in terms of the impact we could have on the foundation through the exposure it would garner from the stadium rename.
"There has been some incredible coverage and we are very proud as a club to have helped Kiyan become the first posthumous addition to the Fifa gaming platform."

Mark Hughes has been appointed Plymouth's assistant manager as part of a coaching shake-up at the club.
Former Accrington defender Hughes, who originally joined Argyle as a coach in January, steps up to become number two to Steven Schumacher.
Schumacher's previous assistant Keith Downing left Home Park earlier this month at the end of his contract.
"I believe Mark is more than ready for this opportunity and added responsibility," said Schumacher.
"He has become a really valuable member of the coaching staff."
Jimmy Dickinson becomes Argyle's head of recruitment, with Sam Morcom moving up to fill his role as lead performance analyst.

Swindon have released captain Dion Conroy after five-and-a-half years at the League Two club.
The defender made 123 appearances for the Robins, the last of them in their play-off semi-final penalty shoot-out defeat by Port Vale.
Also departing are midfielders Ryan East and Jayden Mitchell-Lawson and goalkeeper Emmanuel Idem.
"We would like to place on record our immense thanks to Dion Conroy," the club said in a statement.
"He showed tremendous courage in overcoming a series of serious injuries. We wish Dion all the very best for the future after years of loyal service."
Swindon are discussing a new contract with full-back Rob Hunt, and have offered new deals to six other players.
They include defensive duo Akin Odimayo and Mathieu Baudry, as well as midfielder Jack Payne.

Harsh but fair in my opinion
The BBC has apologised after a message appeared on the news channel saying "Manchester United are rubbish".
The text mistakenly popped up on the news ticker at the bottom of the screen during a tennis update just after 0930 on Tuesday.
Later in the morning, presenter Annita Mcveigh apologised to any Manchester United fans who may have been offended.
She said the mistake had occurred as someone was learning how to operate the ticker and was "writing random things".
Another message which appeared on the ticker read simply: "Weather rain everywhere."
Mcveigh told viewers: "A little earlier, some of you may have noticed something pretty unusual on the ticker that runs along the bottom of the screen with news making a comment about Manchester United, and I hope that Manchester United fans weren't offended by it.
"Let me just explain what was happening: behind the scenes, someone was training to learn how to use the ticker and to put text on the ticker, so they were just writing random things not in earnest and that comment appeared.
"So apologies if you saw that and you were offended and you're a fan of Manchester United.
"But certainly that was a mistake and it wasn't meant to appear on the screen. So that was what happened, we just thought we'd better explain that to you."
An official BBC statement added: "There was a technical glitch during training with our test ticker, which rolled over to live programming for a few seconds.
"We apologised for any offence caused on air."
BBC presenter and Manchester City fan Clive Myrie tweeted he "had nothing to do with this!!" with the hashtag MCFC, after City won the Premier League title on Sunday.
Manchester United have struggled by their standards in recent seasons and missed out on a Champions League spot, coming sixth in the table. Their new manager and former Ajax boss, Erik Ten Hag, is United's fifth permanent boss since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.

Oldham Athletic have said the Joe Royle 'North' Stand at Boundary Park will be closed for the 2022-23 season, on cost and safety grounds.
They also cited a breakdown in co-operation with the stand's management.
The Latics do not own the stand - which remains the possession of former owners Brass Bank, who oversaw the renovation.
In a statement, Oldham said they "could not guarantee the safety" of supporters "during the period contained within the club's safety certificate".
They also said no revenue is received by the club from use of kiosks and the stand.
BBC Sport has approached Oldham Events Centre, part of the Brass Bank group, for a response.
"The club deeply regrets the non-use of the facility and appreciates that many fans enjoy the North Stand," the statement read.
"Unfortunately, the board of directors cannot compromise themselves or the club in certain circumstances.
"Recent events have also revealed that the management of the North Stand are not prepared to work with senior officials and this seriously compromises the club."
Oldham were relegated from the English Football League this season, becoming the first former Premier League team to drop into non-league since its creation in 1992.

Jean Michael Seri, Alfie Mawson and Cyrus Christie are among 14 players released by Fulham.
Seri signed from Nice for £25m in 2018 and played 33 games in the Championship this season as the Cottagers gained promotion to the Premier League.
The Ivory Coast midfielder spent half the 2020-21 season on loan at Ligue 1 side Bordeaux, and the entire campaign before that with Galatasaray.
Centre-back Mawson joined from Swansea in 2018 in a deal worth up to £20m.
Mawson, 28, played 52 times in his four seasons with the London club, but only featured in Marco Silva's line-up six times this campaign.
Liverpool sign teenage Fulham forward Carvalho
Defender Christie, 29, joined Championship rivals Swansea on loan in January having found his playing time limited to one appearance for Fulham this season.

Stevenage have signed defender Carl Piergianni, goalkeeper Aaron Chapman and midfielder Michael Bostwick.
Piergianni, 28, moves from Oldham Athletic after making 48 appearances in 2021-22, scoring four goals.
Chapman, 31, spent the season with Gillingham and played 25 games for the League One club.
Bostwick, 34, joined Stevenage on loan from Burton Albion in January and has now agreed a permanent deal at the Lamex Stadium.
They are the first signings made by boss Steve Evans following the release of 15 players after Stevenage finished 21st in League Two this season.
All three were out of contract with their former clubs, but details of their deals with Boro have not been disclosed.
"I will always give 100% commitment, that willingness to die for the shirt and I hope to spur my team-mates on to fight to win every game," said Piergianni.
"I have signed for the manager three times now because he creates atmospheres and squads that I want to be a part of," Chapman added.
