So sad today to hear the news that Drew( the buzzbomb) Busby had passed away. In my eyes an absolute legend, gave his all for the jersey and continued to be a supporter of the club. Met him a couple of times and he was just a perfect gentleman, nothing like the hard man, tough tackling image he portrayed on the pitch. Such a humble man, he was quite astounded that fans of Hearts would hold him in such high esteem. Pat Stanton once stated that Busby was one of his toughest opponents. RIP Drew

Derby County's takeover by local property developer David Clowes has been completed, ending the League One club's nine months in administration.
The lifelong Rams fan, 53, already owns the club's Pride Park ground and had provided Derby with a loan to ensure it can start the upcoming season.
His purchase, through his company Clowes Developments, also means a transfer embargo can be lifted.
Clowes stepped in after a proposed takeover by Chris Kirchner collapsed.
Joint administrator Carl Jackson said: "We are very pleased to have achieved today's sale, in a deal which secures the long-term future of the club."

Bristol Rovers boss Joey Barton has signed a three-year contract extension with the club until 2026.
The former Manchester City, Newcastle and QPR player guided Rovers to a dramatic final-day promotion with an extraordinary 7-0 win over Scunthorpe.
Barton, 39, was appointed in February 2021, but they were relegated to League Two at the end of that campaign.
The Pirates won 23 games as they were promoted back to League One at the first time of asking last season.
"I am delighted to sign a new deal at Bristol Rovers," said Barton, who previously managed Fleetwood Town from 2018 to 2021.
"The journey we have been on and the support I have received from the owner Wael Al-Qadi, the CEO Tom Gorringe and the relationship we've built with the Gasheads, these are all massive factors in me signing on for another four years."
Going into the last day of the season, Rovers needed to better the result of third-placed Northampton or win by five goals more than their rivals.
Northampton won 3-1, but the Pirates secured the final automatic promotion spot on goals scored, returning to League One with Exeter City and champions Forest Green Rovers.

Oldham Athletic could be sold within the next month, after the owners of the club and its Boundary Park home agreed to compromise to enable a sale.
The club says an as yet unnamed local business has agreed to buy the club from Abdallah Lemsagam, and Boundary Park from Brass Bank Limited.
The identity of the buyer will be made public once the deal is complete.
The Latics, relegated from League Two last term, say a completed takeover is targeted in "less than four weeks".
How Oldham Athletic stumbled their way to relegation to the National League
Lemsagam has been the subject of protests at the beleaguered club during his four-and-a-half-year ownership, but pledged to sell the Latics in a statement in January.
An ongoing dispute over the ownership of their Boundary Park home, as well as concerns over the safety of their North Stand, has also overshadowed on-field matters at the club.
Former owner Simon Blitz, who owns Brass Bank Limited, and Lemsagam have agreed "significant compromises", although the club do not state what these compromises are.
Oldham say that the buyer is "not a consortium but a long-standing successful local business".
"This announcement is aimed to reduce speculation and provide long-term certainty which will help [manager] John Sheridan continue to build a competitive squad," they added.
'A big compromise that will benefit the club' - analysis
BBC Radio Manchester's Mike Minay
For the past four years under Abdallah Lemsagam, Oldham Athletic have performed badly on the pitch but always with a background of off-field issues.
The biggest part of that has been a wrangling over the newest stand, the Joe Royle Stand, between its landlords and the club owner.
Both have wanted to sell their investments, but at individual prices. This new deal, combining both, shows a big compromise and one that will benefit the club long term.
The news of the club sale will please a large portion of the fanbase who have protested against Lemsagam, for most of last season - feeling that his interest in the club has lessened, the off-field issues the club has faced and his recruitment of both players and managers has been poor.

Thorndike, an Albion academy product since the age of eight, thought he was too good and too big to stay at the albion. At the end of his contract last year, aged 19, he decided not to sign a new deal and to leave on a free for seal park.
Roll on twelve months .... Now aged 20, having played 22 times for viles under 23's he moved on to the mighty blues, two year deal, one year option for their development squad.
How many more of our academy players who have or will leave will meet the same fate before they start to realise the grass is not always greener. The hype of their parents and agents blowing smoke up their arses does not mean they will be guaranteed to succeed elsewhere.
Come on You baggies!

Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth has signed a one-year contract extension.
Ainsworth, 49, has been in charge at Adams Park for almost a decade, having taken over in September 2012.
He took the club from near the bottom of League Two to the Championship - and almost kept them in the division in 2020-21.
The Chairboys narrowly missed out on promotion back to the second tier last season, losing to Sunderland in the League One play-off final.
Ainsworth was subsequently linked with the manager's job at his former club QPR, and hometown side Blackburn.
"The club have supported me through thick and thin, right from the start, and I've made my decision to extend my contract here by another year. It's something I wanted to do," he told Wycombe's website.
"We're trying to improve the stadium with Championship-standard facilities, we want to improve the access, and of course we want to make the football Championship standard.
"There's forward momentum here, propelling the club to the next level, and I want to be part of that. I'm really happy here."
Ainsworth's previous Wycombe contract was signed in 2020, and was described at the time as "long-term".

I know, I know - there's a better place for a moan than this but I can't find it so I'm parking it on our pages.
I get the need for the ads (Stairs et al ), it pays for the site, no problem with that, I wouldn't have the privilege for this moan if it wasn't there.
The problem - I bought something with a gift card off American Golf's website, weeks ago, many weeks ago (2 months!!!!) and certainly not through this site.
All I get since is American Golf adverts every time I go anywhere near the site. Even worse, for stuff they don't actually have in stock anymore. I've checked. No it's not always American Golf, it can be places and companies I've never heard of for services I'll never use, I can just delete that - but wtf is this fixation with American Golf? Does it ever go away?
I've bought stuff of Amazon, eBay, B&Q, Screwfix, Toolstation, Matalan, Aldi, Park Timber (ok no reason most of you would buy from them, a local fence supplier), amongst others. Do I see ads for them? No. Not that I'm asking for them either but, as they used to say in bingo - "gi' the bag a shake".
Is it me, or does anyone else get these pain in the arse "repeated for ever ad's" too? Or does it just track anything related to sport?
PS - I've paid for a few rounds of golf on line too but I don't see ads linked to those and yes I do know what cookies are all about too - I've deleted enough over the years.

Wrexham have completed the purchase of their Racecourse Ground home.
Wrexham Glyndwr University had bought the stadium and the club's Colliers Park training ground in 2011.
Wrexham Supporters' Trust assumed stadium operation responsibilities when it agreed a 99-year lease in 2016.
With the club now owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, the university felt it was "the right time to facilitate the club taking ownership of the stadium once again".
Earlier this month, Wrexham's redevelopment of the Racecourse's Kop end moved a step closer with the club's local authority approving its demolition and clearance.
Wrexham County Borough Council gave the work the go-ahead, with the National League club hoping to develop a 5,500-capacity seated stand at that end of the ground.
It is part of the Wrexham Gateway Project plans, which include increasing capacity to more than 15,000.
On the sale of the Racecourse, Reynolds and McElhenney said: "This is a great day for both the club and ourselves, and one that we targeted from the first day of our ownership, encouraged by the vote of confidence from the club's fans in November 2021.
"While day to day, this changes very little for the club, the symbolism of this moment is a massively important step for the club going forward.
"We would like to thank Wrexham Glyndwr University, our neighbours, for the support they have provided the club historically. We look forward to enhancing our already strong working relationship with them."
Wrexham's Hollywood owners
The takeover of Wrexham by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney is to be the subject of a documentary series called Welcome to Wrexham
Wrexham Glyndwr University's executive director of finance, David Elcock, said: "It was a great honour for us to have been custodians of the oldest international football stadium in the world.
"In 2011, when the university purchased the stadium, it was not only for the benefit of our students and staff, but also the wider community. It was imperative that the football ground was preserved for the people of Wrexham and further afield.
"It was a huge commitment and civic responsibility for us to undertake, but the purchase was crucial in helping to keeping the football club alive during a summer in which the fans raised more than £100,000 in a day just to keep the club in existence.
"More than 10 years on it is time for us to hand the stadium back to the club under its new ownership so they can take forward the exciting developments and improvements they have planned.
"From my earliest conversation with Ryan and Rob it was something they were keen to do, and we were happy to help."

Sutton United have signed left-back Sam Hart following his release from Oldham Athletic at the end of last season.
The 25-year-old attacking left-back played 35 games for Oldham after joining them from Southend last summer.
He started in Liverpool's academy and spent time on loan at Port Vale before joining Blackburn, with further loans at Rochdale, Shrewsbury and Southend.
"I'm delighted to bring Sam in. He's a good defender who likes to get forward," said Sutton boss Matt Gray.
"He'll support our wingers and get crosses into the box."
