"But can they do it on a wet Wednesday afternoon at Maine Road?"; Albion warm up at Man City, 1st March 1972

We gave it a pretty valiant effort against Chelsea, but it wasn't to be, and now our ongoing defence of eight place (which we're currently holding by the margin of a single goal) goes to the Etihad on Tuesday night. Man City are still looking to clinch their Champions League place and I very much doubt we'll catch them napping, but we can always hope. Another performance like Friday's might just pay off for us this time.
ssssshhhhhh!
Seems like our regulars are "on the beach" - never mind the players.

I'm probably going out tonight, so I can't get too excited. But I can only see (something like) 3-0 to City.

Bomber, Asa, and Suggo(?) in the photo?
I can't decide whether to watch (and maybe suffer) the match on Sky or to pop over to the Madjeski Stadium to see Reading v Fulham in the second leg play-off semi final and watch score updates on the mobile.
Are you a Reading boy then stairs, from the age of four until ten I lived on the Oxford Road opposite the GPO depot, core that makes me feel old. Anyway matter at hand ..... defeat unfortunately ...... City still fighting for top four our brave boys been on the beach for six weeks ..... lucky them so cannot see us getting anything and bang goes our nifty fifty .... maybe next year.
Funny how we all think the players have been on the beach but TP says they've been putting everything into every game. Doesn't matter how much they put in tonight though, we're all doomed.
I can see a narrow thrashing tonight so 3-0 to Baggies. DD Thumb up Thumb up
No pace here even for counter attacking Sick

No I am a Banbury (Oxfordshire) boy. Just happen to have ended up here.

Decided I just have to watch the Albion.  So am armed with a bottle of white wine to, I expect, deaden the pain Sad
I have done a tour of Britain, born in Somerset, four years there, six years on Reading's outskirts, three years in Cradley Heath, seven years in Telford, seven years in London, twenty-four years in Dunstable. Now preparing to move again.

Should be the last move .....
We're gonna get smashed because we have tried to hold them to a 0-0.

Even if we try to attack now it's too late. Another tactical masterclass from Pulis.
I honestly think we are the only team in the Premier who set up to draw and not have a good go.
