Splendidly spiffing old chap.
Regarding the Rondon situation, I think we need to be looking at keeping him. Since Captain Pards came to the club, his overall attitude and play has improved tenfold. He works hard and is now starting to hold up the ball and give opposition defenders a hard time. What he needs to add to his game is scoring goals again. He used to be a good goal scorer before he came to us but playing for Tony Pulis took that ability away from him.

What we need up front is a goal scorer to partner Rondon rather than replace him, someone with pace and the ability to convert the chances that we create. If Rodriguez can find some consistency, then we will already have that man but another striker will make us even stronger up front. Then in the summer we can sign another tall and strong striker to give competition to Rondon.

Alan Pardew's 4-4-2 works best when using a little and large strikeforce. At Newcastle, he had Demba Ba and Papsis Cisse. That's what I think he will look at having here. Rondon/new summer signing to lead the line and Rodriguez/January signing to play off of the main striker and score the goals.

Liverpool can't keep hold of Sturridge forever. I'd give them Rondon + £10m (and pay him his current salary).....if only he'd come.
Bit of an outlay, but he'd keep us up, saving Lai a fortune .

Saft I have to say Rondon looks more Hungry since Putrid left. He's getting more opportunities and having a go. es I know he still doesn't get enough goals per chance than Sturridge would but Sturridge albeit a brilliant striker is always injured.

If he doesn't fancy it at Liverpool with the way they attack, he's not gonna bust a gonad for us, plus Rondon and £10m? I would go for a straight swap if a deal was to be done, no way would I give any money as well. Just my opinion mate Thumb up

WCA, Rondon's come on a lot since the Coaching change, dovetailing with JR. But only a month ago I'd have taken £10m in a flash, and that would probably have been to the Championship - he was that poor imo.
He's working harder, playing with more intelligence, but not finding the net, which we know Sturridge can. Maybe Sturridge's injury record drops his price a bit, but I bet Klopp wouldn't take less than 25 for him.

Saft I agree with that mate, but if Sturridge could stay fit he’d probably command £50m in today’s crazy market. I honestly can’t see any club paying £25m for him now due to his alleged psychological block whereby if he feels a pain in his finger he won’t play. I’d love him at The Albion but massive wages for no appearances makes any deal unviable me thinks.
I really wouldn't like to see us sell Rondon at this stage. I totally agree with the views that he's improved greatly under Pardew. If he was replaced by Sturridge then it might be worth considering, bearing in mind his injury record. However if he was replaced by Deeney, I honestly believe that is a step backwards, certainly no improvement and more expensive. So, Mr Pardew, please don't sell Rondon!
I say as someone who has always backed Rondon and still do, I feel for him, as I have pointed out on posts before, if a striker does not have the ball or is in his own half, what do you expect him to do. Now we are playing farther forward where Rondon is coming into his own a bit more, its all Pardew. He is exactly the same player, he is just getting better service and further up the pitch. Rondon will come good and will be a solid 12-15 goal a year man. Hopefully for us Smile
QUOTED AS BEING THE 27TH RICHEST CLUB IN THE WORLD AND WE HAVE TO SELL EVANS TO GET PLAYERS IN - DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE.

My sources tell me @WestHamUtd manager David Moyes is interested in a player I think is the best midfielder in the Championship, (he wouldn't have to move far either)
Evans to Arsenal for £10m + Debuchy apparently offered.
Does this give us enough to strengthen up front where we REALLY DO need to?
Not at all sure ....

If that happens, I do not see the Ali Gabr deal happening as Dawson will go to CB. I would rather get more money and not have Debuchy. That will give us a better chance of getting somebody half decent up front.
Just seen Pardew presser and he said they had received no offers for Evans at all,
Where did you see the Debuchy link ?
