The 32-year-old is the fifth arrival at St James Park this summer following Ryan Haynes, Danny Waldron, Kyle Morrison and Zak Brown.

During his career, Price played in the Championship with Wolves, for whom he made 115 appearances.

He also spent over five years in Major League Soccer at Colorado Rapids where he succeeded former United States and Manchester United goalkeeper Tim Howard as captain in 2020.
