Lakeland started his managerial career as head coach of Blackburn Women before becoming first-team coach at Curzon Ashton, helping the club achieve back-to-back promotions to National League North.<br />
<br />
After a stint as head coach of Northwich Victoria, Lakeland moved to Farsley Celtic and guided them to promotion to National League North in 2019.<br />

In 2021, he returned to manage Curzon Ashton before moving to King's Lynn two years later.]]></description>
