Former Dundee United midfielder Willo Flood has signed a one-year deal with Dunfermline.

The two clubs have been trading players this summer, with Flood joining Mark Durnan at East End Park and Nicky Clark and Fraser Aird heading in the opposite direction.

Thomson has been capped for Scotland at every age level from U15 to U21, and featured once for Celtic during his time at the club.

The central midfielder was loaned to Dumbarton for the first half of the 2016/17 season.

He scored his first senior goal in their 2-2 draw with Dunfermline in October 2016.

He would then join Queen of the South for the remainder of the 16/17 campaign.

Thomson was once again loaned out for the start of last season, this time to Livingston.

His spell was cut short, returning to Celtic before joining Queen of the South on an initial emergency loan, then finishing the season with the Dumfries outfit.
