Pressures on ......... Brentford
#1
They are on a good run, they are winning games, hard to keep that run going.

They have to win every game ...... Seems strange to say that but ....... One slip from them, a win for us and we're eight points in front with four games or less to go.

We can afford a little slip ...... 11 points, we can't be caught, three wins and a draw, they would still need five wins.
Rather be in our position than theirs ...... Still scary times though, beat Derby and I would say job done, that would be disheartening for the bees.

Come on you baggies ...... Leeds aren't home and hosed yet either.

Yeah, was thinking that myself, 4eva - Brentford have done so well to keep the momentum, but it'll only get harder for them as the games run down...
..... if WE keep winning!!

Brentford's remaining games:

H - Charlton Athletic
A - Derby County
H - Preston North End
A - Stoke City
H - Barnsley

WBA remaining games

H - Derby County
A - Blackburn Rovers
H - Fulham
A - Huddersfield Town
H - Queens Park Rangers

On balance I think it's about even in terms of games left, you guys maybe are a little tougher as you have Fulham, Derby and Blackburn to play, all chasing the playoffs.

These are just impossible to forecast so I've had a go!

Brentford's remaining games:

H - Charlton 3
A - Derby 1
H - Preston North End 3
A - Stoke City. 1
H - Barnsley. 3

11 further points

WBA remaining games

H - Derby County. 1
A - Blackburn Rovers. 3
H - Fulham. 3
A - Huddersfield Town. 1
H - QPR. 3

..... 11 further points!

Obviously WE'LL (at least) lose one that on paper we should win....... the question is, will Brentford??
Mighty interesting, and mighty close!

The problem is that Brentford have got home games against two of the relegation threatened sides ie Barnsley and Charlton.
That should be a guaranteed 6 points unless one of them decides to 'park the bus'.

And for that matter Stoke could get dragged back in.

Let us hope that those three Clubs will all fight like tigers to get away from the dreaded drop zone.

Derby County are on a good run at the moment and Brentford and the Baggies both have a game against them. Ours at home and Brentford's away.

Preston's form has dropped away alarmingly. Once in the play offs, Preston have not won in their last 5 games.

As always with the Baggies, it's squeaky bum time.
Some days I'm top dog, most days I'm just the lamp post.

This Saturday could be pivotal, with Derby v Brentford and Blackburn v WBA

(are we wrong to dismiss Fulham at this stage though?)

Apparently, if the league had started after Rooney went to Derby, they would be top of the league.

At Championship level Rooney is a class above virtually every other player. He could still be in the PL and be effective. The hard part for Derby is getting the other players to be able to take advantage of that by spotting the pass or making the runs to get the best out of Rooney.

Brentford 1-0 down to Charlton, 30 minutes into the game but could the pressure be showing??
