Not a great week on Planet Albion, with back-to-back defeats in league and cup leaving us vulnerable to another slump. But amidst the clouds and the rainy days, spring is doing its best to break through, and hopefully we'll see a renewal of our good fortunes coming with it.
It's not an easy fixture first up. Despite Swansea's indifferent form - just one win in the last eight - and a consequent slide down the table, they remain within touching distance of the playoffs, and will inevitably aim to make up that ground before season's end. Nor is the Liberty Stadium generally a happy hunting ground, with last season's victory being our first there since 2014. But our 5-1 demolition of the Swans at the Hawthorns in December suggested that a gulf in quality between the sides may have opened up over the course of these two years, and with any luck, we can make that tell on Saturday.
With potentially huge matches against Fulham and Brentford looming on the horizon, every point in the coming weeks is crucial to Albion getting comfortably across the line, and there's no better time to start than now.
