Nahhhh! I see this match as "payback" for a lotta previous "hurt" in the Scot Cup. The other semi-finalists would definitely have opted for Hertz as their preferred semi-final choice because they are a bottom league side and it shows. Also the unlucky Soutar is out for the season with a terrible achilles rupture, Claire is suspended, they clearly have a goalie prob, they are not playing on their pokey shit pitch and they are "dodgy" on both FB flanks. Lastly, I think we have a decent manager who will deal with the fact it is a Scot Cup derby and he'll play on the psychology that Hibs may "Hibs it" as they have done in the past. IMO it is a good draw v a bottom league side and try to separate that from the Derby part of this and be positive!! The biggest winners tonight are Celtic who can't believe their luck that Rangers were so "rank rotten" v Hertz last night as well as a "rank rotten" ref (the infamous 2015 Meekings "hand baw"/ICT Scot semi-final referee btw!) who played a big part in making this result happen IMO!! The Hoops must be odds on favs for another "treble" now because they will inevitably become stronger as the season draws to a close unless another "rank rotten"/dodgy referee intervenes again!! Lastly, should we play this match at Murrayfield Stadium in the name of "climate change" and helping the planet????????

Think both these derbies will now be pretty tough games. They will be well up for it.

But it's probably the best draw, our record v Aberdeen is guff. And Celtic are the best team in the country. So its probably our best chance to get to the final. Our attacking game will be right at home on that big park.

I'm surprisingly confident Laugh But its the cup hey ?

Yep but one thing to add re Hibs cup record v the Dons is that it aint too bad in cup encounters but league clashes have been shit until the last two fixtures where Hibs didn't look "out of place" v them any more and they finally "bust the bogey" in the last ER fixture.

One good thing is no Stendel team has ever beaten a Jack Ross team, need to get that psychological edge with a win tomorrow.

Yep! I wanna see Hibs quickly deal with this fixture tomorrow and then move on to the league challenge of "grabbing" the 3rd or 4th place in the Scot Prem - amazingly within "touching distance"!

We are within a couple of points of getting 4th and are probably playing our best for a long time so we have to be confident of winning both of our encounters with Hearts. The next few games could see us lying 4th AND in the cup final.
Fingers crossed both will happen.

Rumours is a lot of the hertz players don't like Stendel and his training methods. Probably because he is asking them to behave like actual players instead of purveyors of anti football.

Getting hertz to play the kind of football Stendel wants is going to take time and shipping out a lot of donkeys. It's motivating the players that probably know they are on the way out to win the points to stay up that is going to be a big challenge. Hamilton don't need much to go into the split ahead of them.

They lose tonight and its squeaky bum time down the PBS.
