Hertz v Hibs, Thurs 26 Dec, KO 12.30pm

Well this is another occasion when Hibs arrive at the Pink Bus Shelter to possibly inflict another damaging blow to Hertz aspirations of avoiding relegation. However, I can recall only too well how past Hibs teams have "f###### up" and lost to Hertz in similar circumstances!! In one case, Hibs fans slated many Hibs players after the final whistle because they "choked" on the fixture - no contrition allowed!! Our player personnel has changed and we are playing an exceptionally poor Hertz team but our manager, Jack Ross, must choose a durable and balanced Hibs side to start the game and apply a controlled performance. Focus on both their flanks and particularly their LB, Hickey, who is not that good and whose positional sense and confidence is "shot to pieces". Should we even start Kamberi in this game because I thought he was "shiter than shite" v Rangers and I don't wanna waste any position!? I also think all Hibs players "must be told" in no uncertain terms what is expected of them and we want 3 pts to proceed into the top half of the Scot Premiership again and stop embarrassing the club with some really fragile performances!! Remember that we are not the Embro footie club that is entrenched at the bottom of the league for good reason!! They are shit and it looks like the "rot" has set in! PLAY AND "SHOW UP" PLEASE AND NO MALLAN-ALLAN MIDFIELD COMBINATION EITHER - IT DISNAE WORK!!!

Too many times I've seen hertz teams playing poor then turn us over. We have to set up properly for this and account for that joke of a pitch.

Stendel is under pressure already, you can see it in his post match that frustration is kicking in. They’re in severe danger of going down as it’ll take more than one window to fix that squad and they don't have much in the way of sell on assets.

Keep it solid across the middle of the park and attack them with width and pace. Play Boyle and Horgan - don't play mallan and Allan. The team can't carry 2 players like that in the middle.

I agree pace is one of the key elements that will play a big part in winning this fixture coupled with taking our scoring opps when they arise.

A great result today on Hertz home territory and the first back to back victories at the PBH since the 1970s - excellent!! Thumb up
Also some "payback" for that "steal" of a win at ER in October with one of the luckiest goals in any Embro derby match. Hibs "fast out of the blocks" and Martin Boyle's "eye for a goal" really good today with a "brace". His 1st goal was exquisite - so well taken and not an easy "strike" on a high dropping ball even though he made it look easy. Also Scotty Allan setting up both goals. A good 1st half performance by Hibs and definitely "managed the game" very well in the 2nd half with Darren Magregor such a good defender when he is fit and Paul Hanlon plays with more assurance and authority with Darren alongside him. I liked JR's effective use of his subs in the 2nd half - replace tiring players who are ineffective and play out the match plus the boys kept a "clean sheet". Hertz? Well they are a poor side and their manager's post match comments were uninspiring as well: "What I expected from this Hertz team"? You gotta "change it" and then expect something different eh!!! Baffling and that kinda comment doesn't "cement" a good relationship with the players! Anyway, job done, now in 5th place but 10 pts behind Aberdeen on 4th place.

1st half was as comfortable as I've seen Hibs at the the PBS, 2 good finishes from Boyle... And Ross got the team and tactics spot on.

2nd half I actually felt Hertz were better but they just can't score in a brothel at the moment. Rocky made a couple of top drawer saves though.

Stendel afterwards cut a deeply frustrated figure, maybe he shouldn't have fucked off to Germany in the build up for this game.
