Hibs v Rangers, Fri 20 December, KO 7.45pm

This will be a challenging home fixture for Hibs but it is normally a match that is historically difficult for Rangers down the years. I don't know if it is the pitch or the "atmosphere" in the ground but they have rarely played an easy game v Hibs. Lets hope it remains that way on Friday night. They look like they've lost McGregor in goal with Morellos suspended due to being "sent off" v M'well! So we won't have the pleasure of seeing our "friend" Alfredo!
How will Jack Ross tackle this game? It looks like Maxwell in goal for starters - not a fan but fair enough as not many other options available!! Jermaine Defoe is gonna be a goal scoring threat in the absence of Morellos and I hope JR highlights that fact and devises a defensive strategy to "shackle" him - even "nail him" if the opp arises although I must say he is a likeable character who shouldn't be playing for a poisonous Scot footie footie club like this one from Govan!! Ross will prob pick the same team although I'd be tempted to play Darren Magregor alongside Paul Hanlon with Ryan Porteous pushed into an "anchor" defensive mid role. IMO Allan and Mallan doesn't work in Hibs midfield for me and I'd like to see one removed and "keep" for later in the game. C'mon Hibs and "show up" for this one!!

Looks like Stevie G has more probs with other players possibly being ill???? Not sure but seems that he is being forced to bring in "fringe players"? I hope so - I'll take on the weakest Rangers team if that is the case - any additional Hibs advantage absolutely welcome.

Helander being missing is a negative for us - he's an absolute donkey.

I don't find defoe a "likeable" character either.....He's a diving,cheating scrote.

A horror show.

Way too passive and embarrassing defensive howlers early on which killed the game before it began.

What I'm more worried about is the formation and tactics. Playing Mallan and Allan in a diamond is just nuts, It's two centre midfielders who can't run or tackle, they're going to get over run against any half decent team. Too many times teams have more energy and legs than us in the middle of the park. Playing narrow against a team who's one mode of play is like the huns is also naive in the extreme. On the plus side we move the ball around very well but we cannot go into the derby playing in a similar fashion.

I'd need to see the sending off again, but my first hunch was porteous got the ball and it was a yellow at worst. Gerrard should be getting cited for his actions....xxxx arsehole.

FT 0-3 and Hibs absolutely honking after Rocky sold an early well taken goal by Kent - WTF was the goalie thinking about!!!??? Don't lose an early goal to them and focus/concentrate, DON'T DALLY ON THE BAWWWWWW!!!! I think that error and consequent goal really spooked Hibs with hardly any Hibs player deserving a mention. Re Rangers second goal - totally avoidable again and Hallberg pointing about something or other instead of closing in on and blocking Arribo's run into Hibs box!! This was one of the worst 1st 45 mins I've seen for a long time - it was shite!! And then out of all the non-triers, Ryan Porteous created mayhem by trying to "wipe out" Barisic and certainly "woke up" the Hibs team as well as "stirring up" Rangers players and dugout personnel! Unfortunately Barisic got up but not before various missiles directed at him from the East Stand, something we can do without TBH!! Three red cards issued and I suspect more action will follow from the SFA. I must say I'd rather have a bad-losing player who does care on my side any day of the week but one has still gotta "cool it" and stay on the pitch although I can empathise with the lad as I've "cracked" in such a way in days gone by and just had enough!! Hibs need to guide and coax Ryan with the appropriate coaching and advice and then I'd "go radical" and make him Hibs captain - too many softies in Hibs team!! I want a leader, I want a trier but more controlled!! I gather Jack Ross couldnae be bothered re a post-match interview and I don't blame him although I'd challenge him re his starting line up - didn't like it but glad he eventually "hooked" Kamberi as the Swiss player was "doing my head in" but he wasn't the only one!! I'dve hooked him after 30 mins - f###### hopeless!!

Alot of work for Jack Ross to do in January, we are normally up for these games but last nights performance was frankly embarrassing, Is Mallan really the best we can muster? Utter shitebag of a player along with a fair few others, Doidge for all his goalscoring of late is totally anonymous in games needs to do more, Stevenson and Hanlon are finished and we need to sort out the goalkeeping situation.
The bottle throwing idiot should be banned, shameful, that could have seriously injured someone, it also takes the focus away from the 90 mins of constant sectarianism which again will be ignored.
