Ricky has been called up for the Grenada international squad despite being mostly sub for Hemel Hempstead.

Amazingly Hemel Hempstead thus have enough international calls to put off their game on Saturday.

Nathan Smith looked good for Dulwich against Carlisle …………. by the way. He'd still be good enough for us.

I also note Joe Wheatley was Darlington's MOM at Walsall - I've kept hoping we'd have the sense to sign him to improve our midfield. And Garritty scored and played well again for Warrington …. I'm pretty sure he could make the step up from Matlock's level to ours.

Unfortunately it looks as though we are sticking with what we have. Another wasted season. You would think after his years in the game JS would know the 11 positions that constitute a football team, but it seems not. How any manager could start a season with such a lop sided team and then try to build it around Gerrard his self claimed marque signing beggars belief.
At least even he should have noticed that without Gerrard we look a bit like a team and have had some results but I put my money on him sneaking him back in again.

I don't mind Sheridan's weekly team changes too much, but it did seem at Ebbsfleet he had gradually worked his way back to a team that doesn't win. I too wondered if Gerrard wasn't the next illogical step.

Every other team in our football seems keen to draft in new players ……… but we sit there. It's not as though our rivals all have bucketloads of money.
