I didn't see it, didn't sound an attractive game
Any opinions?
Personally whilst he`s hardly been a staggering success it`s down to the players to follow instructions, keep dirty laundry and such behind closed doors
Cant say I love everything my Manager does but I wouldn't publicly embarrass him

Wasn’ta good game, but that last 5 mins of extra time went some way to making up for it. This was player power at its worst. The keeper went down injured, medical staff tended to him and then they decide to sub him in time for the penalty shootout. Not clear whether their intention was to sub him at that point anyway but Arrizabalaga’s refusal was unexpected. Sarri went mental at one point, shouting at the whole bench and backroom staff, arguing with Zola as well and then heading down the tunnel before coming back.

That was outrageous by a player who breached a manager's explicit instruction to remove himself from the pitch! I wouldn't give this lad a reserve match let alone a 1st team slot!! I think the next couple of days will be interesting and suspect Sari will "walk", of course the only thing holding him back will be his contractual obligation and the money attached to it! I was musing over a scenario where one could imagine this lad pulling a stunt like that on SAF!!!?? It wouldn't happen if the lad was aware it would be dangerous to his health lol! No respect!!

I think this `misunderstanding` is the only tenable answer and not sure I swallow it
If he was not injured then he should've been carded for simulating injury twice over and stopping play
Finally Sarri decides on a substitution that no-one predicted and gets overruled! Remember years ago ahead of a pen shootout think was a play off when Leics or Wolves brought on Zdeljko Kalac for the penalties like it was a strategic ploy, it certainly worked and got in the opposition minds as his team one a second later by golden goal

The misunderstanding story is complete and utter bull!!! Sarri says he didn't know the keeper was ok to play on until the medical team got back to the bench after tending to him, but that doesn't stack up as they are all wearing microphones to be able to communicate with the bench when they treat players!! Sarri knew he was ok to continue, he still wanted to make the sub and the keeper refused, end of!! This excuse is just an attempt at allowing the keeper to play in the next game with no repercussions internal or external.
