A second consecutive away match for Hibs and one would normally say that Hibs will have a decent chance to win v the team at the bottom of the Scot Premiership. However, I'm not convinced that this Hibs side has the balance and proper fighting attributes to deliver a win and we have strikers who don't perform. Also Porteous injured and Efe offsky!!! Plus five league matches and no victories???? Well that is unacceptable!! There is no crisis yet but there will be if certain Hibs players don't "get their act together" soon!!

Hits history is littered with poor results against bottom of the league teams and after the past half dozen performances there is no great expectation that it will be any different on Sunday. We badly need a win, it remains to be seen if the team have the desire to deliver for our fans.

FT 1-3 and whoopeeee, a win at last for the Cabbage n Ribs! So Hibs/Eddie May started this match definitely with the wrong line up in a generally awful 1st half. An injury to Horgan luckily brought on Olly Shaw who had a massive influence on this game in the 2nd half and the change of formation freed up Stevie Mallan and Ryan Gauld to start playing properly and express themselves. Stevie unlucky not to score a "brace" but my MOTM has to be Rocky who had some outstanding saves to deny the Buddies. At last, we had a goalie today who ensured that the winning result was ours as we've been at the wrong end of this scenario often enough!

You have to ask if this result means that Lenny was playing the wrong line up OR did the players simply refuse to play for him....?
Hopefully we are over our bad patch and can get back to business.

IMO Lenny has played the wrong starting line up on a number of occasions of which I criticised him in a number of previous post match threads. Three wins in 15 fixtures was as "glaring" as it gets!

0762,
There can be little argument in what you say,3 wins in 15 games is not the kind of record any manager or team need. We have to go forward from here-with or without Lennon.

I didnt think we played that much better than under recent games with Neil in charge to be honest, we were pretty poor 1st half and players were still being used out of position but mallan and shaw turned the game for us 2nd half with the changes.... Lennon seemed to think mallan was a mcgeough type player but he is better a bit further up the park.
Listening to McGregor's interview afterwards I'm still not sure where we stand going forward. Remember that only the top four have lost less games than us so far this season. We are nowhere near as bad as some quarters are making out.

hibeejim21,
Maybe part of the problem as far as we fans are concerned is the success we`ve had over the last two seasons and suddenly get a reality check. You`re right though we`re not as bad as some think and probably not as good as others think.

Too many draws is our problem and that stems from not enough goals. The defensive side has done reasonably well but the attacking side has let us down recently.
I've always had reservations about Lennon's aggressive attitude - fine when things are going well BUT not when things are difficult - but nothing like he's had to put up with over some players' performances. If the "clear the air" meeting has cleared the air within the team, then all well and good.
Cabbage is still good for you

I must say I'm delighted for Eddie May who did say he had no liking for managing a footie team full-time. The proceedings unfolded very well for him albeit a wee bit fortuitous and good to see us "getting the lucky breaks" for a change although I was beginning to wonder when that ref McLean observed the easiest back pass violation to the Saints' goalie but decided not to award a potential free kick goal to Hibs!!?? It was good to see Ryan Gauld giving him a "mouthful" of criticism for that oversight - ridiculously unobservant and as bad as that last mins pk that should've been awarded to Livy v Rangers by that ref "coward", Kevin Clancy, who has the gall to display a FIFA ref badge on his shirt!
