Well I suppose it had to happen at some point, after all it gets promised every week and the law of averages states he would finally strike lucky!!!! And this week was that week!!
Top of the table this week with a season high PL score of 27 is the one and only blubber master himself Beefy!!! He managed to pick up points on 8 of the ten games, including a max on the BB and a CR on the Gamball!! I offer my congratulations to him for setting the new season high, but as we know any true competitor is capable of continuing this in the coming weeks and we all know that he is probably a one hit wonder, but for now we will let him have his day in the sun!!!!!
A gap down to SCO in 2nd place on 15 points, a score that should see him consolidate a spot near the top of the table. Surprisingly I scored no CS but did manage 6 CR and was the only one along with Beefy to pick up points on the Gamball. In joint third place on 14 points was the 3rd committee member Zinman and the league leader BBB. Zinman didn’t play his Gamball again and this week it cost him 4 points as he got a CS on that game!! BBB continues to be consistent and as the winner this week was lowly Beefy, his top spot won’t be challenged just yet!!
Joint 5th place on 8 points goes to Derby and Worldclass, both lost points on the Gamball but both managed a CR on the Bonus Ball to boost their scores a bit. Just a point behind them came Sanjay and Amelia, both of whom scored good points on multiple games but both completely missed their balls to lose heavily there. Sanjay will likely lose ground on the leaders and unfortunately for Amelia her closest rival for the dreaded drop was Beefy and by now we all know what happened to him this week!!
Snooty finished in 9th with just a single point, a torrid week with zero ball points for him and his likelihood of relegation is going the same way as his beloved Terriers!! Unfortunately Matt failed to get any predictions in and as per the rules scores one less than the bottom player so ended the week on zero points and a likely drop down the table to boot!!!
I look forward to seeing the comments from our magnanimous and humble winner this week, who in case you missed it was Beefy himself!!! I won’t hold my breath on the humbleness!!! Of course it is also worth reminding our fabulous scorer that Beefy was given one point too many last week so will in fact only see his score rise 26 points this week!!
Cheers
SCO
BBB managed to extend his lead despite not outscoring any of his nearest challengers to 11 points as St Charles moved into 2nd and passed the double century mark into the bargain.
Zinman was another to achieve membership to the “200” club and sits just 3 points away climbing a place into 3rd, as Matt chose the wrong week to miss to drop 2 places but more importantly losing valuable ground on those above him and in the race for the title.
Sanjay is only another 3 points away in 5th despite a less than spectacular week as his lead over Worldclass in joint 6th was cut to just a solitary point where he was joined by Beefy who finally lived up to his promises after 20 clueless weeks to post a season high and to actually only sit 12 points adrift of 2nd and unbelievably just 23 off the top, whether he can back it up with another week like this remains to be seen, but he swaps places with Derby who drops a place into 8th and the relegation play-off place.
Amelia lost ground this week and is now looking at a near 40 point deficit to escape any involvement in the relegation scrap, though Snooty is heading into needing a miracle territory adding just a single point to his tally this week to be 70 points away from safety.

I can confirm that this week's scores have been subject to independent verification following allegations of impropriety. I suspect that one of our players has been looking over the fence at other predictions and while not against the rules, this is considered to be against the spirit of the competition.
Well that's about the only explanation I can give for this week's results. Top of the table is Joker....yes, the same Joker who is usually grateful for achieving a positive score. Even more impressive when you consider that he achieved his 24 points from just 9 matches having missed the Friday night match. A full set of balls, including an 8 point gamball - by my reckoning he's now almost caught up with Turkeydinner (who admittedly hasn't actually played for 10 weeks!). 20 points would normally be enough to secure the top spot but Twerton has to be content with 2nd, again scoring with all his balls and getting a perfect gamball.
Four more players got into double figures in what was an unusually high scoring week. Baggie_One claims 3rd place, helped by the gamball. Bomber actually equalled Joker's 6 correct result predictions but lost out on the gamball and Quantum kept his consistent run of scores going, once again making the right decision not to gamble. Themaclad was the only player not to predict a correct score but still managed 12 points thanks to a full set of balls.
The 2 stragglers are Stairs, with 8 points, and 4eva who continued his miserable recent run to sit at the bottom of this week's table.
Zin
Themaclad had his lead clipped by just a point this week and is still sitting pretty, 20 clear at the top from Quantum who kept up his hopes for automatic promotion with another consistent week.
Bomber inched a point closer to him to sit in 3rd only 4 points away and then the springer out of the pack was Twerton with a seasons best to move him up 2 places and into 4th to carry on his recent climb up the table.
BaggieOne stayed in 5th just 4 points back, while 4eva continued his recent struggles and slipped down 2 places in the table to a season low 6th, though he did jinx Leeds with his notorious Bonus Ball.
Stairs had an average week to remain 7th, while it’s hats off to Joker with a seasons best that pushed him over the 100 mark though it’s going to take another couple or more of those if he’s got any hopes of moving off the bottom.
