Prediction League Results/Tables Week 15 - Beefy's 3 Point Week
#1

Well what can you say about this week?? The decent consistent scoring from last week was replaced by a complete train wreck in the PL!!! A few highlights first - combined total of just 30 points, only 4 correct scores out of 100 predictions, three games produced negative totals and only one positive Gamball score and only two on the Bonus Ball!!!

Amelia and Matt head the scoring this week with 7 points each. Both of them scored points on the BB, the only 2 players to do so and that was all they needed to make the difference. Three players follow on 4 points - Snooty, Zinman and BBB - the highlights being Snooty getting a correct score, BBB was the only one to get any points on the Gamball and Zinman’s normal bottling of the Gamball saved him 3 points (vindication for not playing it but he must have removed all the mirrors in his house by now due to the shame!!).

One point behind on 3 are Derby and Beefy. Both picked up one Correct Score but both got their Gamball and BB wrong. Only other thing to say here is the promise made by Beefy with regards to his points haul went the same way as most of his promises generally do!!!! The last player with a positive score this week was Worldclass who ended on a completely uneventful 1 point!!!

Propping up the table this week are SCO on -1 and last weeks leading scorer Sanjay on -2, both failing on the Gamball and BB, but at least Sanjay managed to pick up his Scoreball point!!! I suppose a spread of only 9 points from top to bottom will mean only a few changes in the table but I have a feeling we might have a new leader after my last couple of weeks failures!!

Cheers
SCO

Much as I’ve been predicting for the last few weeks (more or less the only thing I’ve correctly predicted this week  Sad ) the top 5 all had a shuffle of places and with just 7 points between them now it could well happen every week over the next few.

BBB heads the table for the first time this season but it waits to be seen if it’s a decisive move as St Charles ultimately conceded top spot with his second minus score in 3 weeks as he slipped into 2nd which he shares with Matt who climbs a place after an 8 point swing this week.

Zinman dropped down into 4th only 3 points further back and a solitary point in front of Derby who slipped down 2 places into 5th after his first poor week in a run that saw him surge up the league.

Sanjay, Worldclass and Beefy all stay in their respective positions of 6th, 7th and 8th covered by only 3 points. The latters claim that this was to be a 20+ week sadly fell short but only by a mere 17 points.

Amelia, though still in 9th, did her cause no harm at all and is only a couple of decent weeks from tagging herself onto the pack above, while Snooty still has work to do to overcome a 25 point deficit if he is going to move away from the bottom anytime soon

Well it wasn't great but it was a darn sight better than the Premier League! Once again, the bonus ball caused problems with just 1 positive return though the gamball did produce more points than usual. 4 matches returned negative totals - who could possibly have guessed that Woking would cause such problems for a bunch of Baggies fans (plus guests)?

Clear at the top this week is Themaclad - it helps when just one of your predictions scores more points than half the league! A full set of correct balls, including a correct score on his bonus helped Themac to 15 points - use of multiple balls on one match yielded 7 of them. Also in double figures was Stairs, more correct scores than anyone else but losing out on the bonus and score balls. Twerton makes up the top 3 with a creditable 9 points, one of 4 players to get the gamball result right.

Quantum's consistent run continued and again he was wise not to bother with the gamball (one day the rest of them will understand the logic). Baggieone was close behind and then a gap to this week's stragglers.

I say stragglers, but 6th place represents a better than normal week for Joker who actually managed a positive points total for a change. He's joined on 1 solitary point by 4eva with what I believe to be his worst score of the season so far.

And finally we come to Bomber, with a performance that will bring a great deal of pleasure to some of his fellow committee members (well, one of them anyway). Another one with his lowest score of the season which brings his recent good run to a shuddering halt. At least he wasn't predicting a 20 point week!

Themaclad clearly didn’t like sharing top spot last week and surged back to his customary place, out on his own, at the top of the league, Bomber chipped in 3 of the 18 point lead with a disastrous week that plonked him firmly back into 2nd spot.

Quantum closed back up in 3rd to sit just a further 2 points back while also putting a breathing space between him and 4eva back in 4th who conceded another 2 points of his tally with his 13th miss on the bonus ball of the 15 week season so far.

Stairs in 5th enjoyed a better week which coincided with a rare Gamball success as did BaggieOne in 6th though they are over 20 points away from the top 4.

Twerton passed the landmark of 100 points for the season and sits in 7th within another good week of the 2 above him, but Joker continued his consistent run with just a solitary point to show for his efforts which sees him 45 points adrift at the bottom.

Cruel headline.....but so appropriate. Normally Beefy would be thrilled at the thought of Amelia creeping up on him, but probably not when relegation beckons.

The difference between -2 and 7 points for all correct all scoring, well played mate Thumb up

You're only a few points short of wiping out the handicap penalty for being a non-Baggie player - somebody did mention that at the start didn't they? Whistle

Not good Beefy, but when I've got so many more points than you, I can afford a bad week here and there Tongue
