The return of Tony Mowbray to the Hawthorns for the first time since he was given a hero's ovation in May 2009 couldn't be more aptly timed, with Albion's last outing against Derby showcasing some of the most self-destructive defending we've seen since those heady days a decade ago. The mission to turn us once again into the Arsenal of the Championship may be a laudable one, but trying to play Wenger football with George Graham players was always going to come a cropper sooner or later.
Switching to four at the back and keeping it simple has to be the first step to getting us back on track. Safety first is the watchword in defence, and in the final third, little one-touch flicks and backheels are the stuff you indulge yourself in with a three-goal cushion, not when you're chasing the game. Not much can be done about the mobility and defensive capabilities of our central midfield till January, but we need players at the heart of the pitch who are willing and able to make themselves available for a pass every time the defenders have the ball, because Give It Back To Johnstone syndrome has to stop.
Rovers are about on a par with us in the form table, with three wins from the last six and one of the league's hot talents in Bradley Dack. Mowbray has to fancy a happy return to B71; it's up to Big Dave to learn quickly and make the changes that are needed.

No Dwight Gayle tomorrow FFS
Suppose he will be replaced by the great HRK others doubtful just shows how bad our recruitment was, let's hope he plays Brunt at Lb and not Mears, I'd give Hoolahan a run he looks the fittest out of the rest him and Livermore may not be to bad !!
Dwight Gayle is likely to miss the Blackburn game. Hegazi, Barry and Gibbs are all 50/50. Injury update here #wba https://t.co/BobNqd63m5

Don't know what the weather's doing up in B71, but it might persuade some people to stay at home - especially after the last 2 games. Chance of below 20,000 today?

Not sure whether he's saying things - ie tactics, selections - will NOT change, or just the philosophy of attacking football will not change!
Ambiguous. BD to Westminster?!

He has delivered interesting attacking football, he simply cannot say he will not change !! well he can and has !! Not changing formations and tactics, depending upon the team your playing is a crap statement. He says he can see the issues with the current system - fair enough, lets see what his does about it. It wont get better by burying your head in the sand though.
A couple of wins and we will be back in the top 2 and we can call this a blip. A couple of losses and we will slip out of the top six.
Darren can be a genius or a fool - only time will tell. I know where my money is going. I'm sorry but he is tactically inept.

Team looks alright, he's made changes at least, guess seeing what shape they line up in is the most important part (other than the result obviously), https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DqhCuVoX4AATk5m.jpg:large
Sako, Morrison, Livermore, Townsend all come in.

3 central defenders again
Mears in for Adaraboiyo would be obvious improvement, with 4 at the back and Phillips actually on the wing. But Moore can't seem to see the wood from the trees.
Let's just hope we have enough anyway, despite the sh*tty tactics.

As much as I would like to see us change this system, Slick, I don't get the impression this is on the horizon

Looks like 4 at the back based on the warm up - Townsend at last back, Tosin on the right
