Another hat trick last night .Surely he has to be considered for a first team run out soon .Or will playing in our first team, with the lack of chances created, ruin him .

Came on for 25 mins and did ok ,he is certainly a big lad who didn't get bullied and I'm sure he will have a good future in the game with the right attitude.

He didn't win us the game or anything, but the thing to do now is NOT disappoint him. Don't push him back. Give him more minutes next time out.

Three efforts at goal from us, one from them, how on earth does anyone stand THAT!

TBH Dev I quite enjoyed it in a strange ,morbid way ,not because it was edge of the seat stuff, but because we had 11/14 genuine honest lads out there clearly giving all for the cause and definitely playing for the manager. We got stuck in and competed well against one of the so called high fliers in the division .No it isn't my ideal sort of football but it wasn't all lump it forward stuff either and for the first time it looked like they were playing the way the manager wanted them to play.We still lack quality especially in attacking areas but there were positives to take from it.Maguire had his best game in a town shirt in my opinion and Muggleton showed he doesn't just have a long throw to his game.Rowley was quite a revelation in his central midfield role, getting a foot in on many occasions which wasn't supposed to be part of his game ,and his usage of the ball was decent.
The only issue i have is whether Allen stumbled across this first 11/14 by accident or design .

Well I'm all for Rowley getting in the team and making the jump to being the mainstay in central midfield. But it is difficult both for him and the manager because if the team doesn't function in that area it has a terrible effect on both attack and defence. To be fair I don't think Allen was satisfied with what Rowley was doing and didn't trust him in the role. If he could trust him against Fylde and Rowley proved himself capable of the job ....... then it should work against other teams. Croasdale, Brewitt and Philliskirk in midfield with forwards Kellerman and Cardle able to drop back when needed is as strong and flexible a line-up as we'll face in the middle of the park.

I've said all along the choice with Muggleton should be play him or ditch him. You either make him a weapon ... or you forget about what he can do very well and judge him only on the rest of his game (which seems mad to me ..... it's like forgetting about Beckham's ability with a dead ball and concentrating on his lack of pace). Unfortunately for Muggleton a lot of fans seem to judge the rest of his game in terms of his throw-in - and as his throw-in is world-class they judge the rest of his game to be worse than it is.
