I'm honestly half expecting a statement from the Union of Fannies or Sons of Celtic telling us all to boycott it because either a) the club shouldn't be wasting money generating funds for a good cause; b) it's all just a scam to somehow profit the owners/directors or c) Easdales Easdales Easdales - I sincerely hope not one of the fuckers involved with spearheading those movements is at the game because they don't deserve to share in any show of respect by genuine fans.
All of that aside, I hope we get a great turnout for this one. Fernando had his discipline problems and wasn't always popular with the fans, but he became a crucial part of our team, really stepping up to the plate in 2004/05 when we needed someone to run the show in midfield. It's awful what's happened to him and this is a good chance for us to show some dignity and our appreciation for a former player who was with us in better times.
