That merry-go-round of old British managers who have rarely succeeded is very full at the moment, we can expect a few to step off in the next month at their new destination!!

At least Big Sam has steadied many a ship. So why do the fans never like him?!

Big Sam for me is the one exception. He did what he was employed to do with Everton, but the style of football suffered. Sam is a defensive manager but he has shown that his teams can also play good football. He needs to shake this reputation of being a short term fixer because I think he is the sort of manager who can build a strong team over a couple of seasons and there are plenty of clubs in the Championship who badly need that!!!

moyes, big spam, hughes, woy, that obnoxious dick pardew.......... Its nice work if you can get it.

The the clubs get rid at end of the season. clean start, better football, sell STs. All sounds good, except not everyone can win. Few months in, next year’s clubs near the relegation zone will panic and haul one of these mediocre managers back in.

As for everton, they were top 6 with martinez.

Not sure its just during the season these days, I was listening to a podcast the other day and they were able to identify 13 PL teams who could go into next season with a new manager!!!! That includes all the bottom three and two of the top 6, so its not just relegated teams that panic!!

Everton used to be a to 6 team, usually at the expense of the top 6 team that struggles but also prior to Spurs being established in the top 6. But now its going to take a monumental effort to get them up there, they have slipped a long way behind the revenue and pulling power of the current top 6, even Arsenal who need a total rebuild!!

Well that will see them safe from relegation from the Championship for the next 5 years!! No chance of promotion but definitely mid table!!
