Went up under Pulis stayed for ten years and fair enough he made them a EPL club rather than a yo-yo
hugely increased the wage bill, not helped by personally falling out with so many players and never playing again at 70k per week
Has to win the prize for worst ever EPL football played before the fans were largely responsible for his finally getting the boot

Hughes did well but his usually strong and organized defence leaked goals at an alarming rate and whilst they in the past had people to score plenty it`s not been that way last two years
Recruitment has been very patchy, WBA brought in EPL regulars of which was mixed(OK mainly playing Gareth Barry at No10 whilst Stoke took a gamble with Euro talent which failed Martins Indi being possibly the only exception

Despite looking good for a short period at Villa, I dont see Lambert as the man to take them back up hardly done great at clubs since, think the Vultures will scoop up the bigger names(Butland, Shaqiri)

Can see them struggling next season as they will no doubt lose their better players. Aging squad will be what they have left and they will either spend a lot of money to try to get back up or they will consolidate and retool the squad.
