Celtic v Rangers - the 'treble' beckons again!
#1
One more day to go before the Hoops 'lock horns' with the Huns in this latest Scottish Cup semi-final and it's a case of Rodgers fielding his all round strongest side to 'snuff out' any Rangers challenge - a case of Celtic 'showing up' and giving Gers a good skelping or not 'showing up' and giving them a chance to win. Again I'd suggest to Rodgers that focusing on Tavernier's defensive position will definitely be a successful ploy. He has the resources to win it well. I'll predict a 3-0 or 4-0 win and expect the Hoops to be well up for this challenge and, of course, target the 'carrot' of facing Motherwell in the final, the Steelmen being rank outsiders just like in their previous league cup final. IMO the only conceivable threat will be the provision of a 'dodgy SFA ref' who could affect the course of this match - witnessed this practise in certain previous semi-finals, deja vu.

The list of officials for this is like a who's who of hunnery. sellick better watch out the day, clearly the SFA are pulling out all the stops.

I think it will be close and favour a narrow win for celtic, they haven't been playing well but they tend to turn up in the big games, whilst rangers season rests on this afternoon.

Rodgers clearly wasn't amused by the rangers players cheering when they drew celtic, he looked a tad miffed in his press conference when he brought it up.

I'm guessing Madden must be part of that 'hunnery' ref provision eh!? Is that hun of a Tory/unionist MP, Douglas 'me me me' Ross, one of the ARs? Or maybe the SFA observers noticed his rather odd partial behaviour in the previous Gers v Celtic clash at Ibronx and omitted him for good reason! Rolleyes

No way should madden be reffing this fixture Laugh

Aye the mask slipped last time, with ross behaving like the fans behind him on the line. Its an absolute joke, and with a double treble on the line you couldnt put it past them not to do something to try and xxxx the tims up

In the end you were right 0762. Refs could do nothing with that, the sevco players were beaten as soon as the first went in,the sellick proceeded to rip the absolute pish out them.

4-0 celtic final score. Hope you had a quid or two on that.

Aye! It was the only way to take advantage of decent odds where the bookies couldn't get their heads around Rangers being at the wrong end of a 'pumping'! But god bless Moreles for missing another 'sitter' - always wanting to touch the baw, I would've scored that one 'in ma sleep' and f### any need to touch it! Rangers very fortunate not to be beaten 6-0 or 7-0, never showed up and Murty's line up was all wrong from the start - a mid three trying to protect a back four in a cup tie. Also Halliday 'ripped again' at Hampden by the Celtic fans after being subbed and certainly 'talking a good game' during the week - totally found out lol!

One team wanted to win today and the other had no idea how to handle the occasion. Celtic looked a better prepared and organised outfit and could easily have won by another couple of goals. On this performance Rangers might not even finish in the top3 and can only look forward to a complete clear out when they eventually get round to appointing a new manager.

Stevie Clarke bound for Ibronx? Or McInnes?

Those idiots actually cheered when they drew celtic. How embarrassing was that ? You could see rodgers was fuming about the lack of respect for his team. He had them 'pumped up' and they went out and wiped the floor with them the day. I don't think king throwing murty under the bus beforehand helped much, but the gulf in class was enormous.

Pleasing to watch hallidays's 2nd hampden humiliation and sparky playing keepy uppy in front of an emptying stand of huns.

Mcinnes is an overrated coach IMO,but he's steady enough and would be a decent option if sevco appointed him and were actually realistic about letting him build a team over time instead of winning everything straight away. King knows the rangers supporters won't get behind that kind of set up though.

They are their own worst enemy.

Aye! Your end line says it all Jim and King showed again what a wally he actually is with such poorly timed negative comments during the week. Also re the possibility of Stevie Clarke being wooed by King, Clarke is not a Hun, he is not stupid and I'm sure he would ponder over the toxicity of this footie club and the unacceptable behaviour of vast sections of their horrible fans!
