For fans of miracles, we are at this moment still one point ahead of where Leicester City were at the equivalent stage in 2015 when they went on to pull off the greatest ever escape. It was in the thirtieth game that the Foxes began their charge, and so there can be no more fitting opposition to visit the Hawthorns this Saturday. When we lift the Premier League trophy next May - after Salomon Rondon's forty-goal haul for the season, Gareth Barry's surprise triumph at the Ballon d'Or and Alan Pardew's long-awaited Nobel Prize - we could well look back on this weekend as the point when it all began.

For fans of objective reality, it's all a little less rosy. But who cares about reality at this stage? The team are determined to go down with a whimper, but as fans, I'd like us to go out the way we first came to this league: taking every blow on the chin and laughing all the way to the pub afterward. Whatever happens on the pitch, they can't take that away from us.

I've misplaced the details, but I think it's Alec Jackson on the ball, in the background I reckon that's the old unroofed Brummie Road, and from the weather it's probably late season, maybe April or May 1961, 62, 63 at a push?

Looks like we are in with a chance...Barry's doubtful.

I hope Chris Brunt is played, he is 2 games from triggering another years contract

No matter how mad, how angry, how frustrated, how disappointed, how let down and this year how embarrassed you make me feel "I love you Albion, I do, I love you Albion, I do, I love you albion, I ,do, ohhhhh Albion I love you"

In the nineties in our darkest days of relegation at Bristol Rovers I thought that's it no more but I could not abandon the Albion " their in my blood, my heart must go on!."

"We all go down, all go down, all go down together, we'll come back up, win the cup and kick @##@ out of villa".

Got to be said I'm looking forward to this one tomorrow.

Most pundits from what I can see so far have written us off and think we're onto a hiding tomorrow; I think we're due another win against these lot personally.

Two very big games tomorrow with Huddersfield v Swansea & Newcastle v Southampton... Could do with two home wins there to keep Swansea & Southampton in the pack with us, Stoke & Palace.

Hard to imagine anything other than relegation but a win and some other results going in our favour for a change... what a difference that would make!
