Next Manager

It is very likely that Pardew will be relieved of his duties in the coming hours/days. Who would you like to take his place (realistic names only).

I have always wanted an experienced head but have had enough of them now. Somebody like Lee Johnson for me. He has got great team spirit at Bristol City, perhaps he could bring Aden Flint and Bobby Reid with him.

Lets get it sorted now so that the new manager has the opportunity to look at the squad.

We have to go left field this time,
Silva if he will come, maybe Mcinnes I know he would 100% come I saw a interview the other day from him and spoke about Albion fondly and would not say no to us, or even Potter, Dean Smith at Brentford but it has to be someone to get us away from the likes of pardew, pulis & Irvine mentality Angry

Got more info on these josh ?
But to put it bluntly I doubt out manager search will go that far left field , it will be a safe bet like Big Sam when he gets sacked at Everton Laugh

1st choice - Jens Keller

2nd choice - René Weiler

Jens Keller
Jens Keller is my favourite coach in European football. He spent 2 years at Schalke where he took them to 4th and then 3rd and to the Round of 16 in Champions League. His last job was at Union Berlin who I watched live in Berlin 5 weeks ago. He took them to their highest ever finish of 4th last season in the German 2nd division and they were lead leaders for a couple of weeks in the final run-in. He was stupidly sacked in December with Union again in 4th and only a few points from the automatic promotion places. The stupidity of the decision has been compounded by his replacement, Andre Hofschneider, taking them in the table closer to the relegation places than promotion places with regard to points as they sit in 7th. Union Berlin will regret the decision in the long term.

His teams play in a balanced 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 formation. Effective mixed football and intelligent pressing game. 2 banks of 4 when out of possession and passing football when in possession. He also favours young players and he brought through Max Meyer, Sead Kolasinac, Leon Goretzka and Leroy Sane through at Schalke.

Rene Weiler
Rene Weiler is a Swiss Coach who is known for his winning the Belgian title with Anderlecht last season. Before that he was at Nürnberg in the German 2nd division where he led them to 3rd place but they lost the promotion/relegation play-off to Eintracht Frankfurt. Before that he was at Aarau in Switzerland who he took from the second division into the top division.

His teams play in a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 based around a free-flowing possession game with good pressing out of possession.

Both would be ambitious appointments to get the club back into the Premier League playing an attractive brand of effective football. For that reason I don't think they will happen either.  Doh

I'd take McInnes every day of the week and if it's true he'd like to come then he'd do for me. The last few have come because it's just their next job and next pay packet because they're out of work.

McInnes has learnt his trade up in Scotland since his stint at Bristol City and could be a great fit for us.

He's the one I've always thought had unfinished business with us, he's got great memories of the Albion and we've got great memories of him.

I honestly think he'd demand respect and get it and wouldn't stand any of the antics that we've seen in the last couple of years.

My worry is that the owner or the board don't have the same passion for the club as we do, or McInnes may well have, and they appoint another one of the journey men who do the circuit from one club to another and make a career out of 10 or 15 clubs without ever really caring who the club is.

Whilst I'm not a big fan of McInnes, he is probably the type of manager that the clubs management will look at. The new chairman will probably be another steady Eddie type so they'll probably want a steady pair of hands as Head Coach and McInnes does fit that bill.

British, knows the club and Championship (albeit not successful) and his work with Aberdeen shouldn't be scoffed at. The only downside is how much would Aberdeen want in compensation for him. Rangers couldn't get him so expect a hefty compensation package.

I can't see an alternative at this part of the season, but at least line up a new manager at the end for next season, it'll give us a better choice.

Assuming that Derby don't manage to get promotion, and they are slipping back at present, would anyone like to see Gary Rowett at the helm next season?

I'm just hoping that Middlesbrough miss out on promotion for, it would be a real kick in the teeth if Pulis got them into the Premiership.
Some days I'm top dog, most days I'm just the lamp post.
