This is another 'step along the way' for Celtic and Brendan Rodgers in their quest to win the Premiership and a likely 2nd domestic 'treble'! The Hoops shocked by a Partick opening goal in the 1st half, courtesy of a justified pk award against Lustig, but fought back with Sparky brought on as a sub player and scoring the winner following a couple of Rodgers' 'tweaks' to the Celtic attacking formation - job done and 11 pts clear at the top!

Griffiths showing his quality yet again,he turned that game single handedly for them.

rodgers looked a bit cheesed off afterwards with the dembele questioning. Looks like the player is going this window.

Press up here speculating it might be west ham or palace SCO. Brighton were interested around xmas, but i think they have signed a striker since ?

West Ham would make sense, they need a striker. Palace have enough forwards already don't they!!! Yes, Brighton signed a guy last week. I suppose he would be of interest for any team in the bottom half of the Prem but it will depend on what Celtic will demand for him. He would seem the sort of player that Everton might chase but they just signed a forward and Walcott.

I'm sure if Celtic are offered about £15M, they will accept that deal even though his price has depreciated since his 'peak rating' at this time last season. That price would be exceptional for a player coming out of Scot footie and Lawwell will add in a 'sell on' clause, much like the VVD deal with Southampton, whereby if Dembele progresses to a top class rating, Celtic FC will be a beneficiary of any future higher transfer transaction - a win-win situation for Celtic!

I would think they could get more for him in the current transfer market, especially if they can do a deal in the January window. A lot of prem teams are desperate for a goal scorer, its the one thing that keeps you out of the relegation places. Celtic should ask 25m and go from there.

I think Celtic may well have received £25M early last year. However, Dembele has 'gone off the boil' since his injury and I reckon any interested English Prem club would be assessing the risk in signing a guy who is currently not that special in what I regard as a poor Scottish footie league.

English clubs just won't pay that kind of money for a boy playing in scotland.

He's definitely an up and coming talent though, playing for the french u-21s etc. last season he was immense.
