THE MATCH

SATURDAY 4TH NOVEMBER 3PM KICK OFF

LAST MATCH

We won and Jordan Rhodes scored, very spooky. I think we should play all our games on Halloween as we haven't lost a game on Halloween since the 1950's (13 games). Great to see Rhodes get on the score-sheet, should boost his confidence a bit. The big surprise was Carlos making 5 changes, although how many make the team for Villa is another question. We are now only 3 points off those wonderful playoffs but stand 14th, we do have a 10pt gap to the relegation zone, so we can breathe a little easier for now.

THE MATCH

We travel to Villa for our final match before the next waste of time International break. Villa are in 8th place and take on Preston this evening with a chance to get into the playoff spots. Villa have won 4 of their last 5 so it wont be easy and I would be more than happy if we got a point.

CURRENT FORM (WANK)

OWLS          -           Big Grin  Confused Angry Angry  Big Grin  Angry

VILLA           -          Confused  Big Grin  Angry  Big Grin  Big Grin  Big Grin

WHOS THE BASTARD IN THE BLACK

GEOFF ELTRINGHAM
Nick Greenhalgh and James Mainwaring
Fourth Official: Paul Hodskinson

THE TEAM

Well he surprised most fans by making 5 changes and it seemed to pay off as we actually won. Rhodes got a start and scored, question is will he keep his place against Villa or will Fletcher walk straight back in. I expect Lee to go straight back in for Butterfield and Hunt to replace Palmer. Will Van Aken replace Loovens after his mistake against Millwall led to their goal.

Possible team:
Westwood, Hunt, Lees, Van Aken, Fox, Reach, Lee, Bannan, Wallace, Hooper, Rhodes

Cheers, Kev. Thumb up

Pressure test for the bottlers here. Beating Villa at their gaff could well signal a shift in form, I'd expect those missing from Tuesday night's game to be included in the starting line up.

Risk it for a biscuit. 2-2 Hooper

DDDDA

The last time we beat them in the league at there place was in 1997 so we are due one on saturday and lets face it they are no better than us at the moment in form so it isnt impossible Thumb up all be it Bruce holds all the cards over carlos and i dont think carlos has beaten him once Doh anyway its going to be a close game hopefully the ref wont cheat and our defenders and keeper turn up Angry

Id stick with the team that won last night apart from Wallace and palmer Thumb down bring back Hunt ( i cant believe im saying this but palmer is worst than dogshit ) and id like to see fletcher or jaoa instead of wallace .. but that would mean playing a different tactic Doh not happening then Whistle

I'm pencilled in for the Brizzle game in a couple of weeks. It's been a while since I've been down so I'll make an appearance knowing what to expect at least.

I think the rats chewing in my loft are more tactically diverse than Carlos

I was looking at there team sheet and thinking bannan hasnt got a chance whelan will dig him up in the air after 5 minutes and that will be that !! Hoopers going to have a proper challenge for a change aswell against Terry !! lets hope Rhodes dos play as i think hes the only true class who wont mind going up against Terry ! Fletcher will give up after 5 minutes !!

CC's Press Conference low-lights:

CC: It will be an interesting game between two sides with quality and we go there to fight for three points, absolutely
(Just that they have the better manager)
CC: From my heart, I want to thank the fans for their passion and heart. In the stadiums, I am seeing a big commitment
(Or they might just be entertaining themselves)
CC: We understand Villa are one of the strongest teams, it will be a difficult game but we like this kind of challenge
(I will bottle it and so will the players)
CC: We must do our team work and be consistent. The most important is the team, is Sheffield Wednesday and winning games
(Nowt like stating the obvious)
CC: We spoke about the confidence, strikers need goals for confidence and when they do this, they discover something inside them
(Think I'll start Fletcher on saturday)
CC: The players gave a very good answer on Tuesday and it gives us a good headache to pick the players for Saturday
(I must go back to my favourites, I don't know what happened on Tuesday, did Bullen pick the team)
CC: The internal competition is very high and that is important to the dynamic of the group
(I hate it when my favourites get injured, then I have to pick the players whose names I cant remember)
CC: My feeling is that Forestieri will be back in January, we have good expectations for him. He is taking the correct steps
(January? I meant June)
CC: Daniel Pudil doesn't have any pain, he is much better but we don't know if he'll be available for Saturday just yet
(Wouldn't it be easier if I just said he isn't going to play)
