The Pars are currently one of the in form teams in the Championship. So this will be a testy match for Hibs and they will need to find better form than I observed v Morton last night. I'm expecting Lenny to 'tweak' the line up a wee bit v a team that will definitely try to attack Hibs on their own pitch. I'd drop McGinn and give him a rest - Shinnie to replace him. Holty removed as well for the same reason. Dylan McGeouch hopefully returned to our midfield, which should be shored up after the events in our last match v the Pars at ER - a game that we should've lost and one of the main reasons for that was our midfield formation was defensively poor and unbalanced on the night.

Agreed 07, a tricky little fixture for the Hibs tomorrow. Dunfermline should have taken the 3 points at ER a month or so back but that came after the Big Cup Derby and we were even 2-0 up in next to no time when we gifted them a way back into the game. I still think they are one of the better footballing sides in the Championship although hopefully not at 3pm on Saturday.

They gave the best performance from any opposing side i've seen this season at easter road. I'm not going to predict anything other than we will be a game closer to getting out this shitty joke of a league afterwards.

Agreed it might be a difficult game, but if we go 2 up early on this time, I'd back us to keep that advantage. We're not giving much away these days, even with the regular changes to our backline.

I notice Jordon Forster is out with a shoulder injury. IMO lucky it wasn't worse than that after that horrific tackle on Wed night but it's still poss his season is over!

Firstly Big Mention to the hibs support today showing their support for Neil Lennon which he really appreciated.
Great start to the game with John McGinn slotting a 20 harder into the corner of the net I felt HFC controlled the game again the standard of the Ref was shocking could not believe he booked Dylan McGeouch for diving when he got wiped out by the the Dunfermline player.
Then the turning point in the game the ball strikes darren McGregor in the face the ball rebounds off him and strikes Louis Stevenson I think and he awards them a penalty hard to judge it from the far end of the ground but seemed very soft then Jason Cummings had a big shout for a penalty but no shock the ref turned away.
Still a bit to go but other results helped HFC edge that wee bit closer to sealing the deal c'mon the hibs

No real damage done and indeed we've gained a pt on Morton and that gives us a lead of 11pts or a four fixture turn around! Refereeing? I'm past commenting on the crass refereeing - getting accustomed to this poor standard! I'll just say Stevo's so called hand baw was having a laugh and how come McMullan didn't 'walk' on the hour mark on a second yellow card for persistent fouling? The persistent 'hacking' of McGinn by various players was a joke with no real protection from a numpty!

A team that doesnae score enough goals + a set of dodgy officials and you get results like yesterday. The only way dunfermline were scoring was via a pk and lo and behold they got one. I'd need to see it again but i don't see how lewis could have got his hands out the way of that. I also thought we should have had a pk for the haul down of cummings. Add the bizarre booking of mcgeough and letting the pars defenders away with murder and its hard not to suspect something dodgy is going on. If this was the old firm they would be screaming for an inquiry if they got on the wrong end of some of the decisions we are getting.
That aside i thought we played quite well for the 3/4 of the game and if graham had buried that header we would probably have won comfortably.
I think a win at cappielow next week should be enough, especially if falkirk don't get the 3 points at tannadice. The reversal of that sees falkirk weirdly right back into it though. Why we aren't already champions is causing 'concern' amongst the hibs support, and there was plenty of grumbles on the journey back to edinburgh afterwards.

3 home games and 2 tricky away ties left plus a scottish cup semi.
Just going to try and stay positive.
