International call ups - Rocky & McGinn missing for the Falkirk match!
#1
This is another one of these minor irritations that we've experienced before but it's at a time when Hibs will be seriously pushing for a huge 'top of the table' advantage in the weeks ahead! Rolleyes I think Laidlaw will be reasonably well protected by Efe and Darren Mac but the loss of John McGinn is a concern esp v a kicking Falkirk side that will profess to be title challengers! I'd be less concerned if we could replace him with Dylan McGeouch but that natural swap is unlikely.

You don't half make up stuff to suit your own agenda. Falkirk, a kicking side?. They seem to be doing ok in what the game is actually about- playing football. Admit it, ye just don't like Peter Houston because of his Hearts connection.

Whats wrong with that like ? Loads of jambos I know don't like john Collins for his hibs connection for instance. The game is full of stuff like that. For what its worth I think houstons a bitter, jambo arsehole. Is that ok ?

As for Falkirk I think he has done very well with them, they know how to get it down and play. But more often than not they tend to lump it up the park and look for fights.

They have ridden some incredible amount of luck/refereeing decisions in recent times v hibs at easter road. Hopefully that ends soon.

I just based it on certain observed Hibs matches v Falkirk that I've attended and watched (+Houston's previous ludicrous remarks re Hibs FC!) Jim where the proper enforcement/application of footie rules has been dire TBF - call it a qualified opinion rather than one that has 'wind up' attached to it!

Aye, I agree jim, many Hearts fans have issues with old Hibs players and managers etc so they cannot really go on about us hating Houston, who has proved himself a prize tw*t , hearts connections or not.

Quite right, lads. Peter Houston is a moaning git, it's as simple as that. I don't know if he's picked up that attitude at Hearts. What I do know is that he allows (perhaps even encourages Whistle ) his players to kick other teams up in the air, but if one of them gently nudges one of his players, he goes off on a rant. He's done that at Dundee United as well as Falkirk. It's the only way he knows.

I've previously commented that he should consider retirement TBF! I've hardly ever seen this man show any kinda enjoyment out of the game that he's been fortunate enough to be involved in! As you say, he consistently comes over as a 'moaning git' steeped in negativity - that's some advert for any footie club to display!

I quite liked John Collins . Smashing player in his day. No issues with me for any ex Hibs players/ managers. My brother and two nephews all support Hibs as did my late father and we get on just dandy

Spent a lot of time as a youngster at my uncles, who was a hearts fan( my dads brother) and kinda followed his lead. Having left Penicuik in the early 60's to relocate in East Kilbride was fecking traumatic to say the least. One thing my brother and, subsequently our offspring learned early doors was an instant and long lasting dislike for the uglies. Oh, and just because I spend a lot of my time at my house in Inverurie, it does not give you the right to mention sheep. Lol
