A good draw for both clubs too and Rod P will be clasping his hands with glee as it will be a certain sell out in what I'd call a football semi-final where the common factor is that both sets of fans cannae stand Rangers FC while in the other semi-final the Hoops have been drawn v Rangers and what a good draw that is for Celtic at the current time in what will be a poisonous confrontation at Hampden! They've already won the league title and will just 'tick over' until they take up the challenge to beat their Glesca rivals with Rodgers' strongest line up.

Aberdeen will be rightly favourites, but that game will take care of itself. It be nice to defend the cup in another final but we have 6 or 7 absolutely huge games coming up that are more important and will determine our future.
If we can take some of our cup performances into those games we will go up as champions,if we lose focus and start trying to coast through games we will end up in real bother. And to be honest the latter has looked more likely of late.
We have to get ourselves together now and start winning games. Starting on friday night.

We actually have a very good cup record v the Dons in the past few years and I wonder if Hibs will continue in that vein in the latest cup challenge to take down another SPL club! However, that fixture is a good few weeks away and agreed it's time to fully focus on winning the Championship! Interesting times ahead if you are a Hibee!

Quite correct, 0762. Aberdeen are there for the taking, but we definitely have bigger fish to fry. We knocked United out of 2 Cups last season (and Aberdeen out of 1), so I'm hoping for a good result on Friday night. We seem to be developing into big game players and there won't be a bigger game this season so far. Plus revenge for the Tannadice defeat in December would be sweet.

Being given a dubious pk at Tannadice and scoring it to win 0-1 would be sweeter ritchie - indeed I'd call it 'sweet revenge' too!
