Hibs v The Pars, Sat 25 Feb, KO 5.15pm

Well it's back to the 'bread n butter' league business again after hitting the heady heights of another successful Derby match at a sell out ER Stadium. This is a game that Lenny classifies as one of many 'cup finals' for Hibs and I can see what he's trying to do in motivating his players to try and lift themselves in what many perceive as nitty gritty matches. Ultimately we wanna pick up the 3 pts and consolidate our top position v a Pars side that appears to have improved under their current manager.
Will Lenny try to 'freshen up' the Hibs team after the exertions of Wed night? I think he'll try to 'rotate' a wee bit but he is restricted by injuries and illness at the moment. Again this will be an intriguing game and perceiving what Hibs team will show up at ER Stadium. It should be a 'buoyant' Hibs team esp after that very good win over our Edinburgh rivals! Lets wait n see!

The next few games are critical, and will determine if these players are going to take us up or let their minds wander towards hampden. After we beat hertz last season we went into an almighty slump.

Notice Humphrey is now sidelined with a calf problem. FFS

Aye! 3 mins on the pitch, one decent piercing run on Hearts left, and that was it! Did he warm up properly?

Aye hoping for good Hibs performance and to keep the momentum started last night, going.

This is the sort of game Lennon is looking for a reaction and good performance in. They were always going to raise their game last night because of it being a cup derby but he will want to see the same intensity in this crucial league game and not the just turn up thinking it is an easy 3 points.

'mon Hibs

Its now or never for the players. They have to take what lennon said on saturday and turn it into 3 points, just like they turned midweek into a win.

Whats encouraging is the manager clearly has the players on his side, otherwise that could have backfired badly. A ballsy move, but sometimes its whats needed.

I picked up this disappointing news weeks ago but that was the view in context with the op that was required for his pelvic injury. Then he was seen participating in a recent pre-match warm-up at Tynecastle. So dunno what to believe!

Wonder who will play centre half at the weekend? The squad is getting thin on the ground.

We must take advantage of Dundee United playing Morton today by winning well against Dunfermline. Forget the Cup result and keep our Championship lead and even extend it. Lennon should be laying down the law before the game to get off to a good start tonight.

United and Morton draw 1-1. Now all we need is 3 points from Dunfermline. GGTTH
