Scottish Cup replay: Hibs v HMFC, Wed 22 Feb, KO 7.45pm

Just confirmed today: all remaining match tickets sold out and ER Stadium is gonna be 'bouncing' with thousands of additional hibees 'making up the numbers' to hopefully make the home atmosphere absolutely 'electric' and subsequently motivate our players to a notable victory! Thumb up
Contrast that positive note with the fact Lenny is still 'raging' re that insipid display v Raith Rovers and threatening to field kids. It's OK 'saving themselves' for an important fixture and then 'raise their game' accordingly but you don't compromise v inferior opponents and drop league pts in doing so.
Hibs team for this confrontation? Watch this space as this spat continues regardless! Rolleyes  My only advice to Hibs forwards is focus on Hearts half back positions and particularly on Hughes who has no pace. If they follow the requisite instructions to play 'off the shoulders' of these players, we win the game if we convert the scoring ops that will inevitably be created. I'd also be tempted to play Humphrey on Hibs right in a similar role employed in that successful home game v Dundee Utd. I'm not taken with Humphrey's general form at Hibs but perceive he may 'do an effective wing job' on the night!

I'd start with Cummings and Holt with Keatings as the main supplier. Then Boyle on with half an hour to go to run at the Hearts defence from all angles, not just on the wing. If McGregor, Fontaine and Bartley can bottle up the centre of our defence, we can dream of a great victory. GGTTH

Fonts is my main concern TBF. He decided to copy (v Raith) his awful display (v Ayr Utd) that preceded the game at Tynecastle and was subsequently 'dropped'. I think Lenny would normally do the same again but he is restricted for choice in that CB position.

I'd start boyle instead of Humphries for this one,as grey links well with him. Rest of the team picks itself.

Holt up front with Jason would be my choice, purely because I thought the hertz defence didn't enjoy his attentions at the PBS.

I noticed that Gollum, Beaton, Madden all officiating the CL match at Leverkusen tonight! So who the f### is refing our game tomorrow night??? It had better not be that 'car crash' called Thomson!!!!! Phewww! Just checked it out and it's Steven McLean - not the best either and a member of the terrible trio who scuppered Deila's/Celtic's 'treble' hopes in that infamous 2015 SC semi-final Meekings' hand-baw incident (see below)! However, he was bizarrely our Scottish Cup winning ref!!

Hibs squad apparently hit by the 'vomiting bug'! Rolleyes What next eh? Unmentioned by the club or on SSN or bbc Sport. So here's hoping it's a minor scare (or even a false rumour!) that can be overcome without disrupting Lenny's preparations!

In my opinion, it is too attacking a line up ( both Boyle and Humphrey in)  with only McGinn to act as playmaker in the middle. As Hearts have weighted midfield the danger is that we will get over run and caught on the break..........not long to wait now.

Humphrey off early with injury and Shinnie on, so thats changed the game plan and bolstered the midfield.......thats better  Thumb up .....mind you hope Humphrey is OK, no injury is good  Thumb down

2:0 halftime. Cummings and Holt.    Thumb up

Next goal becomes the most important ........Shinnie YES

FINISH Hibernian 3 : 1 Hearts...........Fantastic result   Thumb up

Pity I couldn't get back to Edinburgh in time to see it.   Angry
"FOREVER UNITED"
